Oct. 28th, 2008 09:23 pmI'm still not getting comment notifications or personal messages sent to me for some unknown reason, so if I don't get back to you on something let me know through e-mail or something (phoenixfreedom at yahoo dot com). This is really irritating because I post comments and entries in a lot of different places and when I don't get comment notifications it's just about impossible to know whether I got a reply or not. :/
Things have been rather blah lately. I'm still tired and unmotivated most of the time and my parents are constantly on my case about it. I can understand why, but at the same time I don't know what the solution is. I think I need to get on a better sleep schedule, but other than that I'm not sure what's up with me.
In better news, my female main character for NaNoWriMo has finally decided to start showing herself to me! Yay Mira! I'm glad she's finally cooperating, and that she's developing in a fairly realistic and complex manner. Now Riley, male main character (I might change his name, we'll see), is kind of in her previous place--I've got the vaguest idea of his personality but he's definitely not nearly as developed as he should be. Thankfully, aside from flashbacks of when they were younger, he doesn't show up for at least around 10-15k words or so, so I have more time to work on him.
I might go fill out some character sheets for Mira just so I can get a better idea of her.
There's always got to be at least one animal character in all my stories, so the ocelot is now named Leopard. It's just silly enough to work, I think, seeing as he was a stuffed animal Mira had when she was little. Uh...yeah. Better left unexplained, probably.
I think I'll go post my NaNo info thread (copypasted from last year) now. It's sad--not as many people I know are doing it this year! :( I'm sure it'll still be tons of fun, but I wish more people were involved. Anyway, I hope all of you who are doing it this year reply!
