Jul. 12th, 2008 02:38 amHmmm, I want to increase my artistic output. Start writing more, or at the very least do some sketches with my tablet more often. I have these Pokémon fanfics that have been building in my head for a while (at least four of them), and while they're rather literary/psychological/depressing as hell and therefore probably wouldn't have any audience, I want to write them for myself. I know, literary Pokémon fanfiction is all kinds of WTF, but...well, my mind is not always logical. I need to stop having all these crazy expectations for them and just sit down and write them. I have some original ideas as well, but I'm saving those up for NaNoWriMo. >D
As much fun as it is just lazing around, I don't feel like I'm using my time very wisely when I'm not creating anything. And really, I enjoy writing and drawing--once I start, I wonder why I don't do it more often. It's just getting started that's the problem. Once I have two pages of stories or an idea for a drawing, it's fine. It's just those first few paragraphs or coming up with a concept for a drawing that presents a problem.
There is no feeling like finishing a story or a drawing, though. I need to actually start working towards finishing things! Even if they're just for fun.
Too bad I'm exhausted right now, otherwise I would start immediately.
