2008 is here! Already?

pacificpikachuHappy New Year, everyone! I hope you all had a good time last night, and I wish I had time to go and comment individually on all of your posts. I read all of them, but I'm insanely busy preparing for Anime LA right now and therefore don't have time to comment to everyone. In fact, I should be getting to bed soon, once I finish my packing, as I'm getting up early tomorrow to start the drive down to Southern California. It's going to be a long drive, but at least I'll have new Yoko Kanno CDs to play on the way down!
I spent a little while tonight putting little scraps of fur on the Teto head, as some of the Wonderflex was showing. It looks a bit better now. It will be coming with me to the convention, which will be nice, as I haven't worn it at an actual convention since Anime Expo. Wearing it at Halloween was fun, but it's more fun when people actually recognize what I am.
I had an awesome time for New Years'. I went to Aubrey, Nolan, and Ellary's mom's house, and myself and everyone there had a blast being fangirls (and fanboys, when applicable), eating things, playing with the dogs, watching videos on my laptop, playing video games, playing music, lighting sparklers, etc. It was a great time--I enjoyed it a lot. :D It was a nice way to ring in 2008.
I hope 2008 goes more splendidly than 2007, though 2007 wasn't terrible for me. It just...could have been better, with all the medical problems and such. In 2008, I'm looking forward togetting rid of Bush the Presidential elections, the Spring season of anime, getting to rehab birds in the summer again, and of course--more anime conventions!
ALSO, when I get back I need to remember to write messages to everyone who sent me cards! I've been meaning to do this for a while, but I haven't had the time lately. ;_; Thank you, everyone who sent them, though, and I promise I'll write you all messages in response when I get back.
Hm, I feel rather low key for the fact that it's a new year.
You might not hear from me for five days or so after this, though my laptop is coming with me and I may have time to write something at some point during the convention. :)
