Aug. 3rd, 2007 10:33 amI got in this little baby house sparrow in yesterday, and I was convinced he'd die within hours, but he's still here and seems to be doing sort of well. I forgot my heating pads and heat lamp at Mom's house because I didn't think I'd get anything that needs them this late in the season, so he has a hot water bottle that I refilled every four hours during the night. He's chirping a little, which is a good sign, but he's not gaping for some reason.
House sparrows are kind of a questionable thing for our group because they're non-native birds that really screw up the ecosystem, but I'm one of those people who could never refuse saving the life of something--even if it is something that I know is "bad". Plus, there are solutions--such as keeping the house sparrows as pets instead of releasing them (which is legal due to the non-nativity of the house sparrow).
Also, I found that Mew plushie yesterday! Actually, at like one in the morning. I was searching everywhere for it, and I found it behind my TV in this really weird place. It must've fallen there when dad was pulling the blinds shut. I'm so happy I found it, though--it was driving me crazy that I couldn't find it.
I had a weird dream last night.
It started with me dropping off my shiny Larvitar with someone who was going to watch it as if it was a bird I was rehabbing. In fact, I think it was being kept in a cage, sitting on a perch, really small like a bird.
Then I had to go to this class in the same large house as where I dropped off the shiny Larvitar. There was this weird old guy who reminded me a little of Mr. Burns (the most evil Chemistry teacher ever) who was forcing me to read the Bible and going on and on and on about it. I didn't mind him or the reading of the Bible, though, because my Grandma or someone was paying me a whole bunch of money to go to the classes. XD Also, the Bible was written in such a way that it was "easy to understand" and alluded to a bunch of different anime, "like Cardcaptor Sakura" in the words of the teacher. XD WTFFFF. This entertains me way too much. For part of the dream, it seemed like I had a friend with me, and for part of it I didn't. At one point, me and the teacher and possibly this friend got in a discussion about...David and Goliath and cosplay, or something really really weird like that.
At one point, some of my friends were sitting on this fluffy beige or white couch and I was across from them on something else, and they asked me some question I can't remember, and I told them that I don't do drugs or drink alcohol in response. (ROFL, what was the question?!)
After the class...thing...was over, I went to pick up shiny Larvitar, but I couldn't tell it from the other Larvitar-bird things, so I was freaking out about whether I would be able to tell it apart from the other three. Apparently, I was worried about it during the whole class, too.
Anyway, I think that's all I remember. XD
