pacificpikachu: (Hooch -- ?)
I will be posting my Yoko Kanno concert post today (er, seeing as it's after midnight)! I was going to post it now because the file finished uploading, but then I realized I have far too much to say about the concert to be able to finish the post tonight. ^^; But, yes, look out for that post! The concert was absolutely spectacular and you get to download the audio of the whole thing if you keep an eye out. Has music from Cowboy Bebop, Wolf's Rain, Macross Frontier, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Escaflowne, Turn-A Gundam, Macross Plus, Sousei no Aquarion, RahXephon, and Arjuna.

Not much is going on. School starts again soon (Monday), and as usual I haven't figured out my schedule. Ah, need to do that really badly. DX

Anyway, on happier topics:

- Tux is now walking quite well! He limps a tiny bit, but overall he's doing excellent! He still has a lot of days of Doxycycline to go before he can be considered Chlamydia-free and therefore quite a while until he can be with the other ducks, but it's so nice having him up and moving and acting like a normal duck.

- Dog show this weekend at the fairgrounds! It's slightly ridiculous how excited I am for this. :P Totally going to take all the dogs to walk around and have a good time, scope out favorite dog breeds of mine, and keep an eye out for other corgis and border collies.

- I'm going to see The Cove in Sacramento on Friday. Promises to be a depressing but nonetheless enlightening documentary, and I expect to come out of it saddened and angry. Still, I've heard it's a wonderful documentary and I hope it gets a decent turn out at the theaters. The more people educated, the more chances there are to save the lives of these thousands of dolphins who are being killed every year.

- The center has been very quiet lately. I volunteered today, but all we got in was an injured hummingbird. Poor little bird! It had something wrong with its wing, which is not a good sign for hummingbirds, seeing as they are extremely reliant on having full mobility of their wings. It ate quite a bit and seemed to be in decent shape, though.

- There was another corgi at the dog park today! He was a sable, and he was so cute and handsome! He was fetching like crazy like Hooch does, and running so fast you could barely see his legs moving. :D He and my corgis said hello briefly, and the he was off chasing balls again with the big dogs. His owner said he's around twenty-seven or twenty-eight pounds, which means he's a fair amount bigger than my two, and it was kind of amazing seeing just how small my corgis are compared to a more normal-sized corgi! Mine really are tiny, haha. (Honey is nineteen pounds, Hooch is twenty.)

Better go to bed now, as it's 3 AM.
