pacificpikachu: (Dreaming)
Man, yesterday I got up and went to Chemistry and felt so awful I called mom and had her pick me up and bring me home. When I got home I went to sleep for eight entire hours (and mind you, this was after a full night of sleep), woke up and stayed up until 4 AM, slept another seven hours, and now I'm feeling...about 60-70% better! Not all the way better, but pretty good. :) I'm taking it easy for the next day or two so I don't relapse because I still feel a little weak and under the weather.

Today...is one of those AMV spree days. I just went to AnimeMusicVideos.org to check something (I don't even remember what it was) and now I'm downloading AMVs like mad. So exciting! I love going through new batches of AMVs because I tend to rewatch my older ones so often that I more-or-less memorize them, and it's nice to have actual good AMVs to watch that I haven't worn into the ground yet.

Also, just watched episode two and three of Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou. Ahhh I love this series. ♥ It's just so sweet and pretty and enjoyable to watch. (Thanks again, [livejournal.com profile] kirarakim!) I like the peaceful atmosphere of it, and Natsume is such a sweetheart, and the stories are so lovely. It really is a wonderful series. I still watch the OP/ED on every episode I watch. See, see, look how pretty they are! (Hint: Press "Watch in HD" before watching!)

I recommend Natsume Yuujinchou and then Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou to anyone who's up for it! The first season is only thirteen episodes so it's not that hard to get through it. It's one of those series that just makes you smile inwardly because it's very quietly moving, gentle, and reflective. I always start out the episodes kind of skeptical of the various youkai stories (thinking to myself "Haven't they already done this sort of thing before...?") and then by the end it always wins me over. A few episodes just about made me tear up, honestly. ;;

[FANGIRL MOMENT]Okay, I have to be a shallow fangirl here for a minute. I have to. I tried to hold it in but I failed! This series definitely has the whole flirtatious hints of boylove thing going on, and plenty of eyecandy. Not in a fanservice-y, in your face way generally (and if you dislike that sort of thing, I wouldn't discourage you from the seeing the series at all as a result of that), but just...enough, you know. Enough to appease ME, anyway, but I am a great lover of subtext and quiet pretty boys like Natsume and the type of character designs this series uses. XD The entire third episode I was sitting there snickering to myself like an idiot because it was so blatant. :'D BATHHOUSE. And...just. ALL OF IT. Even the second episode had the little bells going off in my head every now and then! Gen... I was a sucker for those bunny ears. .___.; Anyway, enough about that.[/FANGIRL MOMENT]

Anyway, I think I'm going to go watch my AMVs now before I make even more of a fool of myself. Then it's off to bed with me, as it's 2:30 AM...

EDIT: Also, currently uploading The Dog of Flanders! I'll post it when I wake up.

pacificpikachu: (Looking to the Sky)
I got back from Slumdog Millionaire about a half hour ago and...IT WAS FANTASTIC. I am Ms. Nitpicky when it comes to movies, and I absolutely loved it! It was a great story idea, an extremely well made movie, and just...wonderful. So much wonderful. ♥ I can't wait to see it again. It was bittersweet and quite intense/sad/depressing in parts like most amazing movies (at least in my opinion--I'm not really into movies that are nothing but sunshine and rainbows), but as a result of the end (especially the ending credits) I can't stop smiling. I loved it and I recommend it to all of you.

Now to go hunt down the soundtrack! *0*
