Money that needs to be spent!

All right everyone, I've got $25 for Amazon and I want your opinions on what anime series I should buy with it! I would prefer something I can buy the whole series of in a boxset for $25 (I don't mind if it's from one of the side vendors on Amazon--that's fine), so I'm kind of limited here, but I know there are at last several series I've been wanting to see.

I'm looking at Noein and Fantastic Children at the moment, and Phoenix looks intriguing but I must admit I don't know a lot about it. Feel free to suggest anything else awesome that you can get in a cheap boxset--I'm fairly open-minded here and just looking for good stuff. :D

I already own, uh, quite a bit so I don't feel like listing it all out (if it's in my interests, I probably own it, but there are some series from the last two or three years I still need to pick up... Most of those are too expensive, however, so I wouldn't worry too much about those), but it's okay if you accidentally recommend something I already own. I'll just tell you I already own it, haha.

I had an auction I was going to bid on on Yahoo Japan last night that I really wanted, and I set my alarm to get up on time to snatch it but the alarm never went off. The auction ended for SO LITTLE. Like as much as ONE of the eight plush in the lot were worth, and I wanted every single plush in the lot. I woke up in the morning and just went "NOOOO!" when I realized. ;___; I'm totally kicking myself over it, bawwww. I'm trying to convince myself that it was fate/better/somehow meaningful that I lost the auction and that it's not a big deal, but so far it isn't working. .___.;

Also, got half of the new stereo in my car. So exciting! :D We still have to get the back speakers because the shop we went to didn't have them in the right size, but the front speakers sound AWESOME. If anything will motivate me to drive more and get my license, music or money will.

Random entry that's more a note to myself than anything else...

kasaiface twittered about an odd dream that she had about her dog who passed away, so I decided to go back and find the entry I made about the dream I had about nine days after we had to make the decision to euthanize Lily. (Losing her and the whole grieving period in the months afterward was the hardest time in my life without a doubt.)

In hindsight, I find it interesting and almost a little spooky that I had this dream the day before we got Hana. It's almost as though Lily was trying to tell me that it would be all right, and that she would live on in a different way... I'm not saying that Lily was reborn as Hana or anything ridiculous like that, but the timing of that particular dream, and how meaningful it was, is peculiar. (Also, they both came from litters of ten puppies, which is a a very unusually large litter size, and the first thing Hana ever brought to me was a sock--which Lily used to bring to me to play fetch all the time.)

I just read that dream and tears well up in my eyes.
