The last two days have been surprisingly and pleasantly busy!

Dad and I went down to Sacramento yesterday to look at the Subaru. I listened to a bunch of Honey & Clover music the way there and back, which was nice. Made me all smiley and nostalgic, like it always does. The guy advertised the Subaru as having a bunch of features, but it had the Check Engine light on the whole time and the A/C didn't work. A/C is one of our must-have things, so that one was out.

Dad's Jeep started making weird noises on the way there, which was concerning. Thankfully it ended up not being a big deal and it was repaired today.

After looking at the Subaru, we went to Wal-Mart (yuck, but I did get a larger storage tub for the guinea fowl to live in for the next two weeks and a big frame for my Gurren Lagann poster!) and Costco. At Costco I got a postage scale, both for weighing birds and for weighing postage. :D

Today Dad and I watched Monster Quest for four hours while lying around the house waiting for dad's car to be repaired. I have a bit of a thing for cryptozoology, so even though I thought most of the episodes were kind of stupid, I couldn't stop watching. It wasn't a very thorough/scientific investigation of most of the cases, though, and a few ended up being disappointingly obvious. Still, fun? Me and my cryptozoology.

Still no more packages today. WTF, I'm expecting so many. ;___; I do feel happy because an Ebay seller sent me the wrong Pokémon shirt (but the wrong one is still super-nice and in my size)...and when I messaged them about it, they said I could keep the wrong one and they're sending me the right one! \o/

I was on call with my wildlife group today, but I didn't get a single call. The season is slowing down quite a bit.

After dad's Jeep was repaired, we headed up to South Lake Tahoe again to pick Ryan up (he stayed with my aunt, uncle, and cousins longer). It was an absolutely beautiful day with stormy clouds and weird lighting and the lake was shimmering. Coupled with some pretty Yoko Kanno music, I was on the verge of euphoria. We visited with my relatives for a little while when we picked Ryan off, and then headed off to a buffet in one of the casinos. DELIIIICIOUS. ♥ I ate until I was perfectly, thoroughly full but not feeling overfull or sick at all.

Headed home, listened to a lot of arbitrary music, and heard a few cracks of thunder when we got back.

Nice day. ♥

Tomorrow is another car day. We're quite determined to find me a car, so let's hope I find the right one tomorrow!

I've been feeling artistic again lately. Ahhh, I should write. I hope the words will come to me. ;___; I keep daydreaming about writing that one fanfic I've been wanting to write for eight years and I just...need to write it. Not make character designs, not squabble with myself about the color of the Eevee, not ponder creating a mix soundtrack for it, etc.

(This is about this weird big soft bruise thing he has, and he's going to the doctor to get it checked out right now. I bet it DOES have pus in it!)

I'm such a medical major, hahaha. Most or at least many of us seem to be sick and crazy like that.

Found out today that there were some misunderstandings regarding the two stellar's jays with trich that I raised, and long story short they were euthanized. It very well might have been the right decision, but now we'll never know because they didn't see the vet before being put down. I have a feeling that would have been the outcome anyway, but I still feel bad about it.

In fact, I feel downright gloomy right now and I don't know why. ;__; It's sad about the jays, but it was kind of a foregone conclusion, and other than that I have no reason to be sad! I mean, come on, I just got a car, I'll be getting my permit soon and my passport to go to Japan next summer, and so on.

I blame my period and suspect that it is the culprit.

Also, WHERE THE HELL ARE MY PACKAGES. I got one small one today, but I'm still waiting for:

- Dragonite Pillow plush
- Fatzel (AKA Floatzel UFO plush) and Shaymin and Skymin kids figures
- Dratini Friends plush
- Skymin TOMY plush
- A group of several things
- Three zukan (Swablu/Altaria, Azurill/Marill/Azumarill, and Mew on castle (day))
- One more zukan (Poli- line)
- A shirt
- A Chikorita plush and Bulbasaur and Ivysaur friends plush
- Remaining small figures from grrrowly
- Surfing Pikachu keychain and Togetic Battle Museum

And probably other things. And yet just about nothing has arrived. A few things were just shipped or have yet to be shipped, but others were shipped over a week ago.

I think I'm going to take some art requests to help myself feel better. I'll go make a post for that.

My car is getting a check-up tomorrow~ Let's hope it's all right, because if it's not it has to go back to the dealership. :< It'll probably be all right, though.

Pokémon Art Requests (just for fun!)

Man, I'm feeling really weird right now. Tired but not sleepy or physically tired, and everything feels unreal right now, like I only barely exist. It's rather unpleasant and weird. This has got to be hormonal or something. Hopefully I'll feel less bizarre tomorrow.

In the meantime, though, I'll take a few Pokémon art requests, just to keep me busy and have fun with. Here are the rules:

1. Max requests are two Pokémon or one trainer and one Pokémon. I'm more likely to draw it if it's just Pokémon, but I'll try to do trainer requests as well (I sorely need more human practice). If it's an original character, please provide me with references! Gijinka are fine, too. I'd love some specific ideas (ie, Mudkip and Swablu playing in a puddle together, Sandshrew gijinka digging in a sandbox), otherwise I'll just interpret as I wish. You can also ask for certain styles, like realistic, chibi, normal, etc., though success isn't certain. XD

2. I can't guarantee I'll do all of these, simply because my life seems to alternate at random between being very busy and extremely unexciting. I'll try!

3. Don't expect much! These will just be sketches, and they might be great and effort-filled, or they might be awful and half-finished scribbles. Also, I choose the medium--it'll probably be Tegaki or a Photoshop sketch, but I may do something else with it depending.

I'll take ten requests. First five are more likely to get done than last five (unless I particularly like the prompt), but like I said I'll try to do all of them. :) Request away!
