Did you guys know that the 5 Centimeters Per Second DVD was discontinued? D: I was trying to buy it today on Borders.com, but I went there and it was nowhere to be found... I finally found a store that carries it, but it was $31 with shipping. I'm not pleased with spending that much, but I don't want to take the chance that it just disappears without a trace, either, as it was difficult to find anywhere that even had one for sale. :/ They'll probably reissue it in a few months and I'll think I'm foolish for spending that much on it, but...well, it would probably be around $20 and I guess a loss of $10 isn't that big of a deal, right? (I'm a cheapskate, you see. XD)

Bah, better safe than sorry, I guess. I need my eye candy. And if I hadn't spent it on this DVD it would have just been spent on random Pokémon stuff anyway... And it's not like I didn't just get a TON of Pokémon stuff. [/justifying purchase to self]

I took Hana to the dog park today! She spent the entire time chasing tennis balls, leaping high in the air, and staring at me instead of socializing with the other dogs, but that's just how it is with border collies. They're tennis ball otaku. XD

I have a biiiig post office run to do tomorrow! I'm nearly done packaging, thankfully, though I think I've still got two more to finish.

In addition to that, I need to call Daniell, Tracey, and Janey tomorrow. Can't forget!

I'm looking forward to relaxing once I get these packages sent and plans for where the birds are going sorted out. Daniell and I are possibly having a Gankutsuou-athon and sleepover on Friday/Saturday, and then Sunday I'm leaving for Tahoe for a week. :D

Yayyy, relaxation.

5 Centimeters Per Second was out of stock at the store I ordered it at as well. :< Oh well. I guess I just have to hope they rerelease it or I find it somewhere.

I went on a massive shipping trip to the post office today, which made everything much more relaxed for me.

However, there are a few obstacles to me just relaxing and having a good time still. The biggest one is that there's something wrong with the jays. One jay had a small wound on the top roof of his mouth I noticed a few days ago, so I decided to just watch it and see what happened. Well, it's gotten quite a bit bigger and seems to be causing the top part of his beak to be a little deformed. And not only that, but it's spread to the scrub jay as well, who has only the smallest wound right now (but I know it'll get bigger).

So, they're going to have to go to the vet and I'll have to take precautions not to spread it to my small parrots and guinea fowl. I hope it's not something I can catch as well, though I doubt it would be. I have no way to get the birds to the vet, however, because my parents are working and I can't drive. In addition to this, Tracey doesn't know if she can take them while I'm gone because of this mystery illness, so I might have to find another person to take them in...on two day notice. :/

Janey is going to take the guinea fowl while I'm gone, which is very sweet of her. We're going to drive them over there on Sunday before we leave.

I'll get the whole jay issue sorted out... It's just some unwanted stress and worry. At least they seem to be healthy otherwise. Still, I hope they're able to go the vet ASAP and someone is willing to take them on while I'm gone. And here they were almost ready for the flight cage!
