A possibly delusional, fangirly-hope theory. But it is a theory nonetheless.
I think there is a chance that Satoshi Kon will be at Anime Expo. :O It might be a small chance, but it is a chance nonetheless. Here is my total of two pieces of evidence thusfar:
- He is already in New York for a series of Paprika screenings, as evidenced by his blog: http://konstone.s-kon.net/modules/notebook/
- There is a Guest of Honor panel spot open with a TBA on it on the Anime Expo schedule
Yes, it's probably just being hopeful and jumping to conclusions, but if he does come I'll be amazed and super-happy. :D Now I'm just going to cross my fingers for the next few days and hope they announce him. If not it's fine, but Satoshi Kon is my favorite overall director so I can't help but hope a bit!
Took the little robin with the broken leg and nerve damage to Dr. Lund today, and I was expecting him to say that we should put the bird down. Instead he took the bird and did a leg splint on it. Needless to say, the little robin isn't exactly comfortable (as his whole leg is splinted), but he's alive and has a chance! We'll see how it goes and hope for the best. :) I have to call Janet tomorrow to see if she's comfortable taking him even with the circumstances. If not I'll need to make some phone calls.
I honestly don't know what happened with the majority of the day. It's like I woke up, we went to Dr. Lund's office, and then I blinked and it was midnight.
Maybe I should start packing for Anime Expo tomorrow! I've been looking over the schedule and it looks like I'll have more free time than usual. Of course, much of this free time will likely be spent in lines and in the dealer's room, but still! I might actually have time to just cosplay and relax a little for once.
