Kaiba, Macross Zero, and so on. :)
Jun. 15th, 2008 02:44 amFINALLY started Kaiba today! I was going to catch up on Kure-nai and Toshokan Sensou, but I didn't really feel like watching either of them... So Kaiba it was!
Like several f-list people were saying, it's a bit hard to get used to at first. It's so different from anything I've ever seen; in concept, art style, and just general atmosphere. It kind of gave me an icky feeling at first, for lack of a better way to say it, but I gladly kept going because I've heard great things about it and I could see it had potential. Once I got past the first two episodes, it started shaping up and getting really interesting. I only watched the first four episodes because Nicole called me right as I was about to start the fifth, but it gets sort of...entrancing, I guess, after a little while and its uniqueness grows on you. It's gotten quite enjoyable and even gave me shivers on a few occasions. I'm looking forward to getting up to episode seven tomorrow if I have time. :) I'd definitely recommend this series to open-minded anime fans. If you need bishounen, typical art styles, or familiar storylines/settings, though, this will make you way too uncomfortable. It's a fascinating ride for those who are patient and open-minded enough for it, though.
I also watched all of Macross Zero! Nicole came over and she wanted to watch Macross Frontier episode ten (which I watched twice today for no real reason. The fangirly factor of it kind of wore off by the third viewing. ;__;), and after that we decided we needed to watch Macross Zero. So, we did!
( Thoughts. No spoilers, though. )
I baked my Umbreon sculpture and Ryan's Bonsly sculpture today in the oven, and we'll be painting them tomorrow once we go out and get some paints. :D I'll be sure to post the results!
Other than that, um...here's a meme from
geruempel, who is new to my f-list. :)
( Some basic facts about me, in case you were wondering. Not horribly long. )
If any of you ever have questions about me, go on ahead and ask! It's fine if they're personal (well, to a reasonable degree), fandom-related, or...whatever you want to ask. :B I like talking about myself, hahaha. At least I admit it, though.
Bahhh, it's almost 3 AM. I guess I should go to bed. But only very reluctantly. :/
