Mar. 30th, 2008 09:37 pmBooked AX hotel room today! Glad I'll be able to avoid the intense stress of trying to book a month before the convention, which is something I NEVER recommend with Anime Expo. The hotel is .4 miles/1.5 blocks away from the hotel, which isn't bad at all. It's the second closest hotel, so I'm happy with that. I've heard it's a bad area, but as long as we travel in groups and carry cell phones (and maybe pepper spray), it should be fine. :D I hope there will be a shuttle from the hotel.
I also registered for Fanime, though I don't have my room yet because I underestimated how fast it would fill up. :x It didn't fill up nearly this fast last year! I will somehow get one at either the Marriott or the Hilton, though, so never fear.
Saw Once last night. It was a beautifully done, emotional movie, and I absolutely adore the music. ♥ I don't think I enjoyed it as much as I would have if I had been watching it with people who appreciated it more (mom and Ryan kept saying things like "This movie has bad camerawork," "It's kind of a B-movie..." and "He's strumming too hard!"), but it's definitely a wonderful movie and I'd like to see it again with a more receptive audience. It was just...so gorgeous. I've been listening to the soundtrack on repeat pretty much since I saw the movie.
My grandma (on my dad's side) came up today, and we went out to lunch with her. Delicious tortellini, mmm. Other than that, it was a pretty uneventful day.
