Today, I did much sitting around. I continued my downloading of Honey & Clover and Mushishi, and watched the first five episodes of Air.

I DO like it so far (and quite a bit, too)--but I do have a few superficial nitpicks. The most major of those is the character designs! AUGH! It's sometimes hard to take the story seriously because the eyes are SO. FRICKIN'. BIG. I mean, I like Yukito's character design well enough, but the character designs of the girls are just so distracting. I like how the story is shaping up so far, but there are moments where I feel like I'm trapped in a dating sim, which is bizarre to say the least. However, there are also moments that give me shivers, so it totally evens out in the end. The animation's fairly nice (and shiny!), the music has its moments of great beauty (I like the theme song a lot, and some of the piano ballads are sooo pretty) though it gets a little bland at times, but the way the storytelling is going is the best part. It interests me how none of the characters have "normal" mothers, and it also impresses me that I have pretty much no idea where the show is leading. Well, I'm enjoying it so far.

Dad spent four hours watching a godawful Lifetime movie today. *SNERK* He was aware how awful it was, and he and I took great joy in pointing out what was going to happen next, but unfortunately he missed the ending. Oh well.

I did lots of online laptop shopping today, and within the next few days I will most likely be ordering THIS: http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11146462&whse=BC&topnav=&browse=

It's neat-o and will be totally uber if I get it. It has lovely specs. ♥

Well, I'd better go get ready for my first day of college. Eeek!

Edit: Apparently, this is entry 666. X3 I am very amused.
