SNAKES ON A PLANE
Aug. 26th, 2006 09:20 pmHahaha, I finally saw it. >DDD It was actually awesomely bad and totally exceeded my expectations for it. I was worried it was going to be lame, especially about 1/4th into the movie when I started worrying it wouldn't end up being so good, but then it started picking up majorly. I'd say it lived up to the hype. X3;; I was deeply amused. The only thing that could have made it better was going opening night with friends, but that couldn't be helped. Dad and Ryan and Dylan (who tagged along for the ride) enjoyed it a lot, too.
In other news, I sold mysoul journal to the devil advertising. I had been thinking about getting a Plus account for a while because the ads are fairly minimal and it's not like a have a huge reader following who is going to throw a fit. I've always wanted more userpics, and seeing a Haruhi and Kyon mood theme that
kathleendoris just cemented the deal. I'm so excited about my new mood theme--it's ridiculously dorky. X3 It's taking forever to upload, but it's worth it. I have to go hunt down userpics to use now. Provided, I have about 30 GB of them already, but I'd have no idea who to credit on them, so forget that.
Earlier today I went to college orientation. I'm a little iffy about all the studying I'm going to have to do, but otherwise it went fine. It was supposed to be an hour and a half, but it was actually less than a half hour. O_o; Also, when I was trying to find the room orientation was in, this really nice lady and her husband stopped me and gave me a grape juice. (No, it was NOT drugged, I assure you. XD) Apparently, her husband bought a juice out of the vending machine, but then it refused to give it to him, so he gave the vending machine a little shake. As a result, NINE (!) things of juice/Sobes/waters came out, so he and his wife were just offering them to however happened to stroll by. It was very pleasant.
Afterwards, Dad, Ryan, and I went to Swenson's (after briefly talking to financial aid) so Dad and Ryan could pick up some special tweezers and bottles for gold panning (their new hobby), and then we all dropped by the pet store to get some shavings so I could clean the duck cage when I got home.
I did so, played with the ducks in the bathtub and kitchen for a while, and then downloaded two AMVs. The first--an FMA vid--wasn't so great (but it wasn't bad either), but the second one was pretty cool. A little redundant, but good nonetheless. While watching that, an anime caught my eye. I looked it up and it turned out to be Honey and Clover, which has really excellent reviews. Sooo...I'm now downloading it. I couldn't help it--the curiosity overwhelmed me. I'm excited to see it, though. Another series that's getting great reviews is Mushishi, so I'm downloading that, too.
I'm going to frickin' drown in anime series.
Well, that's about it. Now, time to work more on my mood theme. Bye!
Tomorrow is my last day of summer. *SOB*
