Nice day~

Today the robins and jay let me sleep in until 8 AM, which was nice.

I did my "research" on Anime Overdose not too long after I got up, and then convinced Dad to reserve the hotel room for said convention. So, yay, I am going after all! I'm excited, even if it does mean I have to sacrifice a CD order I was planning on making to go. Three-day convention > CDs I can always order after Christmas or something.

At about 10:30 AM, Dad drove me over to Janey's to pick up another little robin. He's a male, about the same size as my other male robin, but he's a bit on the skinny side and peeped sadly for a while while he was in the car. He finally perked up when he completely realized he was no longer alone, and now he seems significantly happier. Now I just need to fatten him up and keep him on his antibiotics and he'll be in absolutely perfect health. :D

On the way back, we dropped by Mountain Pastimes (this nifty store downtown) and Ryan bought Tanner some birthday presents. Meanwhile, I played with random weird stuff I found. If I hadn't had the birds in the car, I might have stayed longer. It's cool in there--tons of things to do.

I went home for a while, and mid-day decided to go with Dad when he brought Ryan to Tanner's, leaving the birds at home for a few hours (they're old enough to be okay on their own for a little while). I got kind of grumpy on the way down because I thought the CD player was out of batteries (and I strongly dislike being in the car without music), but then it turned out there were new batteries in the glove compartment. For some reason on the car ride, though, I didn't really end up getting that into the music. I think I was just a little disconnected or not in the right mindframe or something.

After dropping Ryan off, Dad and I went to Uptown Burrito and got lunch, and then went to Blockbuster to pick up some movies. We checked out Crash and The Parrots of Telegraph Hill, in addition to something else I can't remember.

Went back home, got frustrated with all of my DVD burning programs for taking three hours to burn an AMV DVD and still not getting my favorite two AMVs right (;_; but every other one was fine! Just not my favorites! Oh woe and cruelty!). I relaxed for a few hours after hating my DVD burning programs for a while. Fed the baby birds, who are so cyuuute that I can't help but snuggle them just a little. Now when I feed them, all four of them hop up on to the sides of the box and sit in a little line (in this order: boy robin, girl robin, boy robin, jay) and open their mouths. AWWWWW!

I put them to bed, and Dad and I went off to the street fair in Grass Valley. This was, unexpectedly, a lot of fun. I bought some sushi, a coconut cream Hawaiian ice, and kettle corn, and met up with whole bunches of friends. We all stood in an enthusiastic, anime-loving circle in the middle of the pathway and fangirled and fanboyed and laughed and discussed cosplay and anime clubs and such. Much fun. ♥ I saw a LOT of people I know there--at least twenty. @_@ Crazy. With the exception of my group of about ten-ish friends, most of my discussions with other people were really short, but it was nice to see them all nonetheless.

Before Dad and I left, we went and saw this band that was there. They were actually really, really good--they reminded me slightly of Yoko Kanno, actually, with frequently genre-switching and overall a great sound to them. Dad and I both loved them.

Now here I am, and that's pretty much all. It was a nice night. :)
