Random, Yoko Kanno-related dream
Apr. 8th, 2006 12:01 pmI had a dream last night that I was in a huge, blue-tinted Best Buy, and as I was just about to leave, Ryan pointed at a shelf and I discovered what was essentially a treasure trove of Maaya Sakamoto and Yoko Kanno CDs. I was all excited because they were only $14.99, but at the same time I was wondering if it was okay for me to spend my anime convention money.
Then, for no apparent reason and with no connecting scene I can remember, I ended up in this smalller room (apparently it branched off the Best Buy) that had a sound board and was even more strongly blue-tinted. The room was Yoko Kanno's recording studio or something, and Yoko Kanno was there, and I got to hang out and talk to her for about an hour. I don't remember what we talked about or anything, other than our interactions being kind of quirky, but when it came time to go I asked if she'd give me her autograph. She grabbed a yellow highlighter and (for some entirely unknown reason) decided to try to sign my tongue. O_o;
The tip of the highlighter got in my mouth a little bit, and it tasted awful. I eventually talked her into not signing my tongue and signing a piece of paper and my hand (?!) instead. As she was signing the piece of paper, the dream ended.
Wow, now wasn't that deep and meaningful? XD;; [/sarcasm]
