I'm officially obsessed with Fanime. This is a good thing because it diverts my energy from depressing things and makes me "OMGSQUEE!"-happy, but bad because I still have (*checks site*) 56 days 'til I have much of an outlet for said convention energy. No idea what brought on the sudden obsession (withdrawals from lack of con since December, maybe?), but it's funny.

KK bought me a donut before first period. It was exciting. ♥

I did a lot of things during first period. Namely, listening excessively to the Pillows, delivering documents for Mr. Baxter, studying my Japanese project, talking to Makayla about Gankutsuou (again), talking to Jessie about...whatever, and beginning to make a list of what I want to buy at Fanime. XD; Busy.

During Government, we had another work day--which meant I spent the whole period browsing the Fanime message boards. Further fuel for the flame. Got all excited.

During PE, after I completed the running (I was oddly energetic today--I ran ten laps and was still ready for more. O_o;) and I starting [fake-]playing basketball, I was mentally planning my costume and figuring out the logistics of it the whole time. This made me a little more zoned-out than usual, thus causing me getting hit by balls more, but I think it was a helpful (if slightly dysfuctional) brainstorm session.

Lunch consisted of continued obsessing on Fanime, and Zoe, Shannon, Erik, and I got in a big discussion about Death Note. We're trying to talk Zoe into cosplaying L (I think she'd make a good L, actually), and Erik's thinking about cosplaying Raito, so I'll get to travel around the convention with Death Note characters if all goes well. ^_^ We also talked about anime vs. manga, Hikaru no Go, FMA (and how wrong it is that someone wrote an Al/Nina rapefic o_o), and a bunch of other random stuff. It was a very enthusiastic conversation--lots of yelling and exclamations and excitement. I didn't want it to end. XD

Fifth period was basically more of the same. I got Makayla excited about her costumes she's planning on doing, so she started making a list of all the things she needs for her costume. She wants to do Kiba, so that'll be really exciting if she does--I'll have my companion to wander with. I started designing what I want my costume to be like on paper, and also finished (for now) my list of what I want at the convention. I have some good ideas for this costume--I hope it all pulls together okay. I'm especially concerned about the head--I want an actual mascot-style head instead of just a hood like my Kumagorou costume. Makayla and I fangirled a lot, did our best to convince Zoe to cosplay L, and had a good time. More Gankutsuou discussion, as might be expected.

Not much happened in English. I don't actually remember it, to be honest.

Sheep brain dissection in Anatomy. >D I watched a little (they had to crack the skull off of the brain--which is so much more hardcore than what we got to do last year), but mostly read the newspaper and talked about cosplay and pets with Selah.

Not much more to say... I'm going to go start Kino's Journey now. I think I'm really going to enjoy it--I might give some reactions later or something.

Really quick update because I cannot contain the amount of love for Kino's Journey in my body, and therefore I must express it in words. XD;; I watched the first five episodes, and it's absolutely wonderful--exactly my type of anime. The art is beautiful, the music is really nice, and the IDEAS...augh, I love it so far! It makes me so thoughtful, and all the little stories are so meaningful and...it really puts things in a great perspective. It's uplifting, in a way, seeing as these ugly, beautiful things about humanity and the world, and... Ah, I can't wait to watch more!

Afterwards, Zoe and I talked on the phone for an hour and a half about random stuff (anime in general, n00bs, weird people, the corruption of American culture, the government, movies, etc.). She's going to spend the night tomorrow night, so that should be fun. :D I'm hopefully going anime shopping over the weekend, too, as Dad is giving me money to do so (as a belated birthday present). So, that's nifty. I'll have to knock out some of the stuff I've been meaning to buy. As usual, the decisions as to what to buy are going to be hard, though. Not that that's a bad thing, y'know...

And now it's bedtime. That's all.
