I didn't really think about today. It was a nice day. I almost didn't even write about it because I couldn't remember anything interesting, but then I changed my mind. This was mostly so I could continue to bore everyone on my Friends List excessively. Maybe that should have been my New Year's Resolution--killing someone of boredom with the use of my LiveJournal. XD;; Also, I need to write about Haibane Renmei, so I definitely couldn't resist writing, even though it meant getting out of my warm fuzzy bed.

I have a fuzzy blanket with killer sharks on it. I've had it for years, but this still amuses me. XD;

Let's see... Princess kept me up most of the night...again. This is a regular habit of hers. I woke up at 6:22 AM, looked at the clock, was terribly relieved to have another eight minutes to sleep (I almost wrote 'eight episodes' XD;), and right then Princess starting scratching to go out. -_-;; Gahhh.

It was really frosty when I got up--to the point where the car doors were frozen shut. It took Mom and I a while to get it to defrost enough that we could even open the door, and then we had to defrost the windows. It all worked out in the end, though, even though I was late enough to school that I didn't get to say hello to my friends before class started. :/ *Teh ANGST*

I continued my vigorous sweeping first period.

We talked about cannibalism all period in Government! I was thrilled.

...No, really. I was. XD;; I'm sick, remember?

PE was the usual. No running or push-ups or crunches, which was nice. :P Badminton went moderately well.

Sat around in boredom during lunch. Cody had 5th lunch so I only got to talk to him for about two minutes and give him a hug before he had to go to class, KK wasn't there, Zoe didn't show up at lunch again, and Shannon was talking to some of her other friends, so I sat in the middle room and listened to a bunch of my friends talking about the production of the Annie play. I was rather bored.

We had a thrilling time in Art. Kathryn, Makayla, Zoe, Cody, and some other people and I spent the whole period going through piles of old National Geographics, scouring for interesting/beautiful/funny pictures. We found some truly great ones, laughed a lot, admired the photography, and had the most wonderful time. I'm so easily amused--it's pathetic. XD I tore out a bunch of the pictures and shoved them in my sketchbook for future reference or whatever.

English was boring. I mostly read Pride and Prejudice furiously while taking notes at the same time. She assigned us more pages than usual, and I didn't want to have to read any of it outside of school, so I concluded reading and taking notes simultaneously was the solution.

Anatomy was fine. I just sat and read, mostly. And talked to KK, who showed up for only 7th period.

The rest of the day, I cleaned animal cages and such. I let Lace back in the chicken coop, but now I'm all nervous because Rusty says the other chickens will kill her. ;_; She got in a few fights that I saw, most of which she won, so I almost took her out of the coop, but for the most part the chickens ignored her. It's only Rusty's chickens that attack her in the first place, and they're all way younger and lower on the pecking order than she is, so I don't see the issue. Anyway, I hope she'll be okay.

I also spent about a half-hour being amused over Christian infomercials--for the Bible on DVD. XD;; The cheesiness factor can't even be described, especially when the hosts kept grinning creepily and going on about how amazing it was. I was really disappointed because I kept seeing commercials (yes, there were commercials in the infomercial, sadly enough) for stupid-looking "parenting" shows that appeared to be absolutely hysterical, but they weren't on. Maybe next time...

This is random, but during Bush's speech (which was sort of on the background at Dad's, facing ridicule from Dad, Ryan, and I), and I started repeatedly screeching "CHIMERA!" when Bush said something about combining humans and animals. My little brother was amused.

Anyway, I watched the first four episodes of Haibane Renmei today. Ahh, I love it so much already! ♥ ♥ ♥ I really enjoy every aspect of it. The animation is absolutely beautiful. I love the style, and it's both simple and detail-oriented at the same time, and the color palette is really nice. The storyline is fascinating (and highly metaphorical!), the mood is dreamy, and all the characters are so likeable. I can already see the darker subtexts in the way they discuss certain things (particularly the crows). It's a lovely series so far. I can't wait to watch more. It's already exceeding my expectations, which is impressive because I had high expectations to begin with. Thank you so much for sending it, Hitchi!

The post office attempted to deliver my CDJapan package, but we need to sign for it, so I don't have it yet. We're leaving Dad's signature on the door, so I'll have it tomorrow. :DDD 11 CDs! I love CDJapan, even if the shipping costs are killer.

Time to go snuggle up in bed. :3 Good night!
