New semester greetings!
Jan. 23rd, 2006 07:43 pmI'm in denial over the fact that this is my last high school semester ever. :O
Anyway, nice-ish day I guess. Woke up from some bizarre dream that I knew I wouldn't remember even before the dream ended. I don't even have the slightest inkling as to the subject matter, mood, or anything else. Dad took longer than usual to get ready, and I was in a hurry to get to school to get my schedule because I'm just neurotic like that. We actually weren't even close to late, though.
Nicole and I made silly faces at each other before school during Chamber practice, which ended early because of schedules. I gave Cody the usual before-school hug and ran off immediately to find out where to find my schedule. I was mad at the administration because they decided to give out the Senior schedules all the way down in the wrestling gym, so I had to hurry as to not be late. Not like Mr. Baxter would care even if I was late--but I would. XD
Hmph, and then it ended up I didn't need the schedule after all because I knew exactly where my Government class was going to be anyway. Go figure. No bitterness over this, though. I just like complaining because I have nothing better to talk about.
TA Period was kind of funny. I spent most of the time working on my chickie picture for Advanced Art, although I played Gameboy for the last twenty minutes or so. Jasmine had this random Martha Stewart pillowcase (she was very proud of the fact that it was Martha Stewart XD) she was having people sign as a "Good Thoughts" pillow. I was the first to sign it. I wrote something to the effect of "I'm going to turn the Pope into a lizard and sell him on Ebay. That's a good thought. --Kristin" and then drew a lizard with a pope hat underneath it.
Then I scurried off to my first day of Government with Mr. Kreizenbeck. This promises to be a thoroughly boring and possibly baffling class. I must say, he seems like exactly the sort of teacher whose class I won't do so well in--he seems disorganized and not rigid, and I need a certain amount of rigidity to do really well because I'm lazy as all hell. XD; I'll probably be just fine, though--I can't imagine myself getting anything less than an A in a required class. But it looks really boring.
PE was...meh. Tim wasn't trying as much as he usually does in badminton and I kept missing just barely, so we were playing at an all-time low today. And I had Nike15sai and the Eva theme song both stuck in my head, so I was kind of preoccupied. Hopefully we'll play better tomorrow. XD
Lunch...the usual. Zoe has become exceedingly fond of making jokes about Cody and I having sex, which is kind of disturbing. I mean, I don't mind every once and a while, but this is like...every time I talk to him, which is practically all the time. O_o;; Oookay Zoe. A little creepy there.
I was working through all of art (for once!) while Kathryn flipped through a book of old biblical art and kept doing voiceovers for the pictures. I couldn't help but chuckle. Zoe was playing her Gameboy and actually showed me her team for once, though I promised I wouldn't train anything additionally to counter her Pokémon. Which I won't--I'm too lazy to do something that requires that much effort. I'm busy working on my Emerald version anyway. Cody joined us partway through the period and we all made the usual fake!spousal abuse drama. XD; Zoe divorced Kathryn (tragically), which makes Zoe completely single now. Kathryn vowed she was going to become a celibate monk, but I reminded her she couldn't do that because she's still married to me. XD;;
English...we talked about Senior Projects (ahaha, AMVs! I have all the software now >D) and read a poem I had already read. Not a lot to say there...it's a good poem, nonetheless.
I sat around and read the newspaper as usual in Anatomy. Amy and Alisa's father Dr. Hight is going to be watching over the class for the rest of the year. I was a little nervous about this (he and I weren't exactly in the best of standings last I checked, even though he seems like a nice guy), but he was friendly and didn't seem to be holding a grudge.
Mom kind of dampened my spirits after school (here I was in such a good mood and everything!) by saying we might not get the house now because it turns out it has some sewage problems that could prove to be expensive. She just got back from talking to the realtor and sewage people, though, so I'll see what she says.
I watched Law & Order and ate miso soup and ramen for the majority of the rest of the day... That's all.
I feel like I have more to say, but I suppose not. I have some minor amounts of homework to work on, so I'd better be going.
