Scattered rain

Dunno what's up with the subject.

Sorry I didn't write yesterday. Not like anybody cares except me, but the point is I always write that I'm sorry when I don't write because I'm apologizing to myself. Does that make any sense to anyone?

Yesterday, after spending half the day burning CDs and coloring one of my SasuNaru drawings (I would scan and post, but I don't really have time today and I don't feel like it's perfected yet), Nicole finally came over so we could have our big, long talk (which needed to happen). We went out for a walk, wandered around for quite a while, and finally settled down on a bench near Gold Run School to just talk.

She told me some things she had experienced since we sort of...drifted apart for a while--and some of these things were surprising to me. And...well, I really opened up to her, too, although, to be honest, I feel like I expressed myself awkwardly and didn't clarify as much as I should have. I was really grappling with my feelings on talking about some of the things I told her, though, so I guess it was unavoidable. It was a hard conversation for both of us, I think, but I also believe it took some of the weight off my chest. I really did need to talk about things in an entirely unedited way, and while my actual conflict is far from solved, it was really nice to have my best friend to talk to again. On one level, I feel like we've made some amount of peace with each other. On another, I feel like it won't ever be the same as it was. I hope she is just as eager to keep up a good, open friendship as I am.

Anyway, she spent the night, but for once we actually went to sleep on time instead of talking the whole time. XD

Let's see...today was just fine, and I've been a lot more organized today than usual. XD I'm actually working on my college applications! :O *OMGGASP* I have been since I got home from school, though I did take a few breaks to talk to Cody and KK on the phone. ^^; I *should* be writing my English essay right now, but I've been working for quite awhile today and I think I'll procrastinate on it one more day. I also should be eating dinner, but I haven't decided whether I actually want to make macaroni and cheese for myself or not.

I want to finish everything fairly quickly this week because I want to get working on my naruto_wishlist assignment. :) Aaaand I have Friday off this week, so my friends and I might throw a "toenail party" on Thursday night. Don't ask. XD

...I think that's all I wanted to say. It's been lightly raining on and off all day, and it's so pretty. ♥ ^_^
