I need some inspiration here...
Nov. 8th, 2004 05:18 pmI have a three page story I have to write for Creative Writing, and it's due Wednesday. I have no ideas. The only parameters are that it must involve dialogue. Hmmm... I've got to wrack my brain here. Maybe I'll go take a walk. That always manages to get the creative juices flowing.
Anyway, today was all right. In US History, we're doing a report on some artists during the cowboy days, and I already got half the report done in not-even-a-full-school-period, so that's a good accomplishment. Then I forgot my report in the computer lab and had to sneak back to the library during my TA period, but... Let's just forget that happened. ^^;;
Also during my TA period, I got to dig through the Lost-and-Found. It's creepy digging through the Lost-and-Found. You even have to wear rubber gloves. I'm always hoping I'll find some money in someone's pocket (I'll get to keep it if I do, so long as there's no Student ID with whatever you find it in), but alas there has been no success in that department as of yet. Darn. In the beginning of the year, I found a big old serrated hunting knife in a backpack in the Lost-and-Found, so that was pretty scary. O_O
I spent lunch putting food (in wrappers, so you know) on Marina's shoulder and trying to convince her to eat it because Cody was in choir practice during lunch and therefore he couldn't eat my food like he normally does. Nicole brought me over to the stairs by the library to eat lunch in a different spot than we normally do. Then, I was talking to B and Rachel and KC about shounen-ai and weird AMVs and repeatedly telling people that they have to come over on Thursday (we have no school on Thursday, but we do have school on Friday. WTF?) to watch anime with me. I'm determined to have Erin watch Wolf's Rain. The poor girl has had to put up with me blabbering about Wolf's Rain pretty much nonstop for the past two years that I've known her--it's about time she sees what the fuss is all about. And B has to see the *rest* of Wolf's Rain, because she's only seen the first ten episodes.
English was particularly amusing today because of the fish discussion. XP We were discussing the book Indian Creek Chronicles, in which the main character goes out into the wilderness for six months to watch over salmon eggs and make sure they survive. Anyway, Liberty, one of the girls in my class, was talking for quite a while about those salmon eggs and why Pete had to protect them , and then she suddenly paused for a very long time. Finally, she said ponderously, "Wait, or were they tuna fish?" The entire class, including her, went into hysterics.
Then, Chris Selbie made it even worse by going, "No, Liberty, they were actually hippo eggs." XD It was a priceless moment, but you had to be there to understand how funny it was.
Mom picked me up late from school, so Kirstin and I had a discussion about how Howl (from Howl's Moving Castle) manages to be a bishounen even in the book, and how we were eagerly awaiting Miyazaki's rendition of him. Then John piped in, and the three of us discussed live action movie adaptations of books and anime for quite a while. Kirstin was extremely disturbed when I told her that there was a live action version of Sailor Moon, and then John and I played with the idea of how scary and disturbing a live action Dragon Ball Z would be (although, I do believe they are making one O.o;;;)...especially if the live action version of Dragon Ball Z were to be a musical. XD Then I went and played with a spring I found in one of my pens and watched the play rehearsals because Nicole and Cody are both in the play.
Once Mom picked me up, we went to the Recycling Center. Very exciting, those Recycling Centers. However, the days since a worker injury just happened to be "528" (my favorite number that seriously pops up everywhere I go, for those who don't know), so I thought that was funny. In the car, I avidly described the entire plot of Samurai X: Trust, Betrayal, and Reflection to my Mom, pretty much scene by scene. XP At least now she understands why it's so violent.
I was going to eat some udon at her house, but then Dad picked me up, and here I am... I cleaned the bird cage, and now I have to figure out some sort of story to write. Hmmm... Now I'm going to go out on the balcony to try to get some ideas.
