I have a very rare 2002 Gengar Pokédoll up for auction today! Please read the sales policies before bidding.

SALES POLICIES:
(These are important, please read them!)

- Due to the cost and rarity of this item, I will require insurance on the package, paid for by the buyer. I can ship the package First Class or Priority depending on your preference. I will ship internationally, just be aware that the costs for international shipping start at around $10 or so (for First Class).

- Please contact me before bidding if you will require a payment plan! I might be willing to work one out with you if necessary, but I want to figure out the details beforehand if you will need a payment plan. Your first payment (or full payment, if no payment plan), must be sent within three days of the auction's end

- No sniping allowed! If someone makes a bid in the last five minutes, the auction will extend another five minutes until five full minutes have passed without a bid.

- Please reply directly to the last bid. Any bids outside the thread will be ignored. I will try to inform you if your bid is outside the thread.

- I was granted sales permission by Areica on March 6, 2015. My feedback can be found here and my Ebay feedback can be found here.

-  I accept Paypal almost exclusively. Please send your payments in US dollars, not any other currency!

- I have dogs, cats, and birds who live indoors. They are kept away from the items in general. However, if you have a severe allergy to animals, these may not be the sales for you.

The offers will end on September 23rd at 7:00 PM Pacific Standard time/10:00 PM Eastern Standard time. Here's a countdown to the end of the auction.

This plush is extremely difficult to find. It was released in 2002 at the New York Pokémon Center with a different type of tush tag than the current Pokédolls have, so the hang tag is attached to the ear. The plush itself is in awesome condition--pretty much like new! The hang tag has seen better days, though, and has a number of creases/wear, as visible in the photos. The hang tag still has the original price tag on it from Pokémon Center New York.

Bidding starts at $300.

Congratulations, you win Gengar! Let me know your zip code and how you'd like Gengar shipped (Priority with insurance or First Class with insurance) and I'll get you a total!

All right, with shipping, insurance, and Paypal fees, your total comes out to $708.75. You can send that to phoenixfreedom@yahoo.com with a note of what you're getting and your shipping address. I can ship him off tomorrow if I receive payment tonight! I'm so glad Gengar is going to a home where he'll be adored! And I have the perfect-sized box to send him off in. :D

Got it, thank you so much! I'll ship to Felix Gengar. I can remove the hang tag and protect it if that's what you prefer--though I could find a way to protect it without removing if you'd like. (I'm just scared to remove the hang tag on such a rare plush, but if you're sure you want me to do that it's fine!) I'll ship it off tomorrow once I wake up and am able to get to the post office! I'll confirm with you once it's sent. :D

The hook does come out the other side of the ear! I think what I'll do is try to protect it while still attached, but if that's too awkward or doesn't work out as well as I'm hoping, I'll snip it. :)

I managed to get it protected while still attached! I think I'm going to pay for shipping through Paypal, so you'll probably get an e-mail a bit later once I finish preparing the package. :) EDIT: Ugh, nevermind, Paypal won't let me insure the package for more than $500 so I'll just do it at the post office. I'll get you the tracking number once I have it, though!

I'm so happy I was able to help you get your ultimate grail! It's so exciting to be involved in that! I almost didn't buy this Gengar because at a glance I thought it was a bootleg--good thing I went, "Oh, whatever, I'll just buy it anyway!" and then did my research on it. It really amazes me how rare things can just suddenly appear, as if out of nowhere, sometimes!

The cel is really, really amazing in person, too--it's quite large and beautiful! * A * It's one of my favorite items in my collection, and my most expensive item currently. And yes, cels are one of a kind. I'll let you know if I see any other Gengar cels go up for sale, though!

I tried to insure on Paypal but it said the limit was $500, so I just went to the post office and Gengar is on his way! Tracking number is VG 952 717 153 US. He should be there very soon!

I'm so thankful that collector's wiki exists and that someone knew about that release--that's how I found out about it, too.

I'll probably ship the other little thing tomorrow if I get a chance to go to my other house! :D

Haha, I know the feeling with the post office! It always seems my most important packages come in on the exact days and hours when I work and never on the days I don't. I'm so glad he made it to you safely, and that you're so happy to have this awesomely rare plush finally! There's nothing like getting an item that you never thought you'd be able to get. Guess it was finally meant to be for you and that Gengar!

Aww, I'm glad you liked the drawing as well! :D Halloween is the best holiday! Also, I sent out the other little extra thing so it should be there soon~

My cel was actually not too terrible, relatively speaking--it was around $700 or so. I have quite a number of cels (around 50 Pokémon cels or so, plus tons of original sketches, settei, and more),. Most Pokémon cels don't go that high, but that one is a particularly large and gorgeous one. Cel prices can vary wildly--I've gotten cels for around $15 before (rarely, but it has happened), and I've paid hundreds. Really depends on the subject matter, timing, and so on. I will definitely let you know if I see any Gengar cels around--I keep pretty close tabs on Pokémon production art because I collect it to the best of my ability, so if it's out there, there's at least a decent chance I'll spot it. Pokémon cels are unpredictable in regards to when they'll pop up, and what Pokémon they'll feature when they do.

Yeah, the older Pokédoll stuff is definitely hard to come across! I got that memo pad off Y!J years ago, and I can't recall seeing one since... I'll let you know if I ever see that Pokédoll badge! Sometimes that kind of stuff pops up in random lots or whatever.

You're welcome! Yeah, I feel like the cel is worth more than what I paid, but I'll never sell it so it doesn't really matter what it's worth. ;) I'll definitely have my eyes peeled for a Gengar cel.

Thanks again to you as well! I'm so pleased Gengar ended up with you. :D

Also, on a random bragging note, have you seen my cel with Gengar and family? ;) Probably, but I just have to show it off to you seeing as you're such a big Gengar fan! http://pokescans.tumblr.com/post/101463639926/finally-a-scan-of-my-largest-cel-my-splicing-of

Also! I can't send it along with this package because it's at my other house and I want to get this package out ASAP (also too tired to go to my other house right now), but when I get a chance to go get it I'll send you a little extra gift that relates to this plush. ;) Sorry for all the separate replies, haha.

Yeah, I've been hearing a lot of comments about not having seen it for sale for ages! I stumbled across it by sheer luck. From my many years of Pokémon collecting, it seems like stuff that came out in 2002 is often the hardest to find (along with some things from 2001). Not sure why, but it's interesting!
