Random dream record
Nov. 17th, 2013 11:21 amWhen the dream started, I think it was with mom trying to find a home for Star (our "foster horse"). Except for some reason our house/property was much fancier. Two women, who seemed well-off, walked up the driveway and said something to the effect of, "He looks great considering nothing's been done with him!" (Which was a good comment, not a bad one.)
I had my two cockatiels, and then a third bird that I don't remember but I think it was another cockatiel. I got this feeling that there would be a fourth bird soon, and, sure enough, when I went outside I found a blue-and-white parakeet. My first thought was "Well, I can't pair that with the lone cockatiel..." The parakeet was friendly, allowed me to pick her up, and she had bands on her legs with numbers. I assumed she was lost and was going to post an ad to find her owner. I kept telling my mom, "I knew another bird was going to turn up!" Somehow the ads I was writing kept getting jumbled, though, about Star and the parakeet and maybe other things, too.
At this point, the dream completely changed focus. I was in this strange place, somewhere in Europe. It was kind of an ornate place, and not really run down, but it seemed to be abandoned. At the same time, I suppose it was a storage facility, though it didn't look or seem like any storage facility I had ever seen. There were all kinds of places to go, it was really an adventure.
I remember encountering a mother Raticate with babies in a box with lots of fluff in it, except mom and babies basically looked like regular rats. I even thought that in the dream. I took out a gatchapon capsule, which had my own "Raticate" with babies. The capsule was small like they are in real life and couldn't have realistically held them, but I guess it was like a Pokéball or something. I could see through it, though. There was a small amount of shavings inside as well as the babies and mother. I took the mother "Raticate" out and placed her next to the other one, and then I decided not to allow them to battle because I didn't have a good reason to. I was worried she would get hurt and pictured them fighting and squealing. So, I guess I put her away.
I also found these incredible peacocks with, literally, different works of art on each tail feather. They were all different colors and had different art on each of them, and in each feather. They seemed to be primarily gold. I grabbed one whose artworks I particularly liked and put him under my armpit. They must have been smaller than real peacocks.
Next, there was a litter of calico and tortoiseshell kittens, among other colors, in what looked like a treasure chest. Somehow, I was high up (this building's architecture was very strange) and had to reach across this ledge to reach them. I could barely reach, but picked up one calico kitten and added her to my stash of animals. (How I was getting around with these animals, and other things I was carrying, too, I don't know.)
As I was traversing around, I found this area where the building went straight up, and then there was this ledge at the top (maybe 20-30 feet up) where there was this basement. I was looking across another gap (I guess I was at the same height, on another ledge, but there was a gap between them.) There were doors open, and I saw these incredible, ornate paintings. I recognized them, though I couldn't attribute a specific name to them. The closest art I can compare them to is Gustav Klimt. They seemed like they might be original paintings, and I decided I wanted them (to sell or keep, I'm not sure, though I thought they might be worth a lot of money). In order to get to them, I was going to have to do some serious jumping or climbing or something, and I had to discard everything I had gathered so far in order to do that. I intended to come back and get everything later, but I put the things I had, including the animals and quite a number of bags, down the ledge on the other side. I didn't seem concerned, it was as though the animals would stay put, or wouldn't be harmed, or whatever.
When I turned around, the doors to where I saw the art were closed. I wondered if there was a ghost up there. Then, the doors opened and a woman with curly brown hair looked back at me, right in the eyes. I think she had green eyes, and delicate features. A necklace on. I woke up just then! It sucked waking up then, because it felt like a climactic moment, and it was so jarring of a transition from the dream to real life.
