Ah, the Umbreon mirage plush got away from me... I'm disappointed, but I was basically expecting that was going to happen. I would have LOVED to win it, but it would have made my finances really tight for the next month if I had won it for even half of what it's at now, so in a way it's a slight relief. I have a new Umbreon grail, though, and I intend to find it someday, somehow!

Go figure something like this would pop up after I got my other Umbreon grail! But, I guess part of the fun in being a collector is the hunt. The challenge of this is that it's something I almost certainly would never find on Y!J, so I'm not sure where to start.

Sometimes there just comes a point where you have to say, "I can't do this. I have to be realistic." That's just how it is.

I agree with you that there are times in collecting when you've got to give yourself a reality check and say, "You can't afford this but it may appear again in the future." It sucks but it's a part of collecting since not all of us are as monetarily blessed as others. But you've got to keep your hopes up and remember that another may appear in the future [and hopefully when you've got the extra cash to throw down!] :]

I hope you get one someday! I heard that there was a Chinese website where a member got their mirage growlithe/another member was finding mirage plush on. If I can get a hold of that site I'll drop you a link c:

Thank you for the encouragement! It's true, there has to be a point where we say, "It's just too much," no matter how much we want an item and no matter how rare it is. It's sad, but it's better than pushing ourselves wayyy beyond our own means. And thank you! If that mirage Growlithe can appear again, I believe Umbreon will someday as well.

I did find a Taiwanese site where people are finding things, apparently! Now I just have to figure out if there's a middleman for this site, in case I end up needing one! I'll share the site with you if you want the link. :D
