So, Fanime! It was wonderful as always! I had a great time. :D I'm too lazy to properly write up the whole thing, but let's summarize!

- Swap Meet went pretty well! Dragging all my stuff in one trip by hand without wheels was difficult (and lead to me being sore most of the convention), but I sold a decent amount and thus had money to spend at the con AND brought home enough to theoretically buy my plane ticket to Otakon, though I'm not going to buy my plane ticket right away in case the prices go down.

The first night was kind of long and I didn't make as much, but the second night was great because [livejournal.com profile] toggy was keeping me company and we were acting like dorks. As a result, the night flew by and there was much laughter and fun.

I was sad to miss the events Friday night, but I suppose it was worth it ultimately!

- My panel went super well! There was a huge line for it beforehand. The room, which is the largest panel room, was full, and the audience was having a great time--laughing, applauding, and barely anyone left throughout the course of the panel (and when people did, they were replaced by more people). The only thing was that I didn't realize there was a power strip and my laptop died on me briefly at nearly the end of the panel, but I managed to revive it after a few minutes and finish the panel just on time. I'm definitely planning on doing the panel again next year, because it was so well-received and I had fun hosting it! I already found some new material to add. My friends all said they enjoyed it, too, as did the few people I talked to afterwards.

- The concert Saturday night was so amazing! I thought I'd enjoy it because I love Complication by ROOKiEZ is PUNK'D, but it ended up even better than expected. It was a truly excellent concert! 7!! had super catchy/fun music as well. I waved my arms around until I literally could not wave them any more, hahaha.

- I also went to the Steam-Powered Giraffe concert with some friends, but...while I found the music pleasant and the concept pretty cool, I just could not seem to get into it no matter how hard I tried. They were good and all, but I think it might have had something to do with the audio balance of the concert, something like that. And I didn't particularly like the little skits they did.

- I only made it to one Omori/Sato panel because of scheduling conflicts, but found it very interesting! I also got their autographs. I love a lot of the series they've worked on, so it was great getting to meet them and hear them speak. :D

- Pokémon cosplay gathering was fun as always! I'm happy that my Umbreon costume is still hanging in there, though it could (as always) use more fix-ups. Lots of people loved my costume still! Of course, it was super fun seeing all the cosplayers!

- My friends and I went to a movie called Colorful, because we thought they'd be showing the really stupid ecchi series instead. Turns out it's quite a serious movie, but we ended up mesmerized by it and didn't leave for forty minutes. I downloaded it and watched it last night and enjoyed it a lot! 8/10, very interesting movie.

- I got to see so many friends I wanted to see, and didn't even have to look for them! Everyone just found me. There were a few people I missed, as is inevitable, but I saw mostly everyone I wanted to see and got to talk to/hang out with pretty much everyone.

- I mostly spent money in artist's alley, on pins. (Of course, I lost half of them, but still...) The non-AA stuff I got included a tagless but otherwise mint Shadow Lugia Pokédoll, Swinub Jakks plush, big new Eevee figure, and a bunch of Pokémon kids. There were some other things I had my eye on, but considering I need to save for AX and Otakon, decided not to get for now.

- I found a corgi nearly immediately when I walked in the convention on Thursday! This made me happy. :D

- Sunday night after the Steam-Powered Giraffe concert, I intended to go to hentai because I normally do (for the laughs, of course), but instead plopped down in the Anime Hell room and couldn't bring myself to leave until my eyes would not stay open any more. AMV Hell series is always fun!

- I went to the AMV contest on Friday. It was better than average, but the Comedy offerings were abysmal. The rest of the contest was mostly pretty good, with several awesome videos that I downloaded right away.

- Fanimad Libs was really fun and I highly recommend it for those who go next year. :D

- I ate pretty well for this being a con. I used to be able to go to cons and eat nothing and still feel great, but not so much any more. I made sure to go out at least once a day and get a Subway sandwich or something. The last day they gave me mustard on my sandwich instead of mayo, though, and that was nasty.

Anyway, that's most of the most notable events of the con, though of course a lot of it was just spent wandering and hanging out with people. It was a great year, and I look forward to next year when the construction on the convention center is all completed.
