Swimming Anime is going to be a real anime! I'm so happy! :D

I'll probably watch it even if it's dumb, but I'm hoping the writing/plot/characterization will be halfway decent. It being KyoAni, I don't think I have to worry about the animation! Of course the preview doesn't look as AMAZING as the CM, but no one has the production values to make a whole series like the CM, haha, so I wasn't expecting that anyway. Also, Mamoru Miyano will be in it!

I can't believe how butthurt some male anime fans are getting over it, though. Guys have an ENDLESS amount of fanservice shows to choose from, and yet they whine and whine because KyoAni is making ONE series aimed at female fans? You don't see me, or any female fans really, whining every time a new show aimed at guys comes out. The sexism and sense of entitlement is amazing. If you don't like it, don't watch it! Don't whine and cry about it like the world is ending, geez. I've watched a ton of KyoAni series aimed at guys, I'm even a big fan of some of them, and you don't see me getting all upset each time they announce more and more "cutesy girls and moe~" series, even when that's a lot of what they make. Anyway, the sexism implications are pretty complex and deep-rooted, but I won't get into it because I have to get ready for petsitting.

I'm not into the swimming anime as everyone else, but I'll probably give it a try anyway because the animation for that 30 second short was gorgeous. Also, pretty anime boys. *__*

Why not, right? It should be fun, if nothing else! I'm not going to get my expectations too high, but I think it'll be enjoyable regardless of anything. And ha, pretty anime boys are plenty enough of a reason to at least try a series!

Oh God YES swimming anime!! Although earlier this morning when rush 2 started on Tumblr, and I found out what the real title was gonna be.... I fucking lol'd so hard, it sounds so dumb imo, haha!! I wanna just keep calling it swimmy anime, lol!! Also I am sooooo bad, I was SO HOPING it would have some BL going on... I mean commoooon, can't blame me for wishing for them to go full out with it!!! *hides!!*

I might always call it Swimming Anime, just because it was such a funny thing on Tumblr when it didn't have a title. I'm all right with the actual title, though it's kind of...uh...silly? I wouldn't expect some serious title, though.

Psssht, I think we all want some BL in it, and I'd be shocked if they didn't at least imply it. ;P

I've just heard about this! It's going to be titled "Free!", which I'd like to think is symbolic for KyoAni's temporary departure from the moe moe uguu~ shows for a while. Did you see the screens for the fifth character? He looks like one of those brutal glasses types.
