WOW. Just wow.

I just got a call from someone with a thick Texan accent asking about the Pokémon stuff I'm selling. He asked, "I'm looking at the pictures and I can't really tell what I'm looking at. Can you tell me what you've got?"

I said I had a few hundred figures and some plush, more than I can really name, and it's mostly Japanese imported items.

He said, something about how, he "Hates those chink motherfuckers," so I said, "Uh..." because I couldn't come up with anything to say to that in my still tired state, and he said, "That's really disrespectful." I don't know if he meant me selling Japanese stuff or saying "Uh."

???

I hung up at that point because I'm not going to listen to anyone making racist comments like that or attempt to reason with them. But what the actual fuck? I don't think it was a prank call, he sounded really serious. I guess it could be, but...I don't know. What was he calling about in the first place if he hates the Japanese?

I'm so confused, and also pissed off that anyone would say that.

But Pokemon is from Japan. Of course 90% of the merchandise would also be from Japan. What did he expect?

This almost has to be a prank call. I refuse to believe that someone could be that racist and that stupid. (One or the other, sure, but not both at the same time.)

Yes, I know! I have multiple awesome Texan friends. I don't think very many people in Texas are like this, just this guy and maybe a small percentage of others (and it's not like we don't have racist people in California...).
