Mar. 9th, 2013 07:30 pmI'm exhausted today, and I think it's because I woke up in REM sleep this morning. Today, I slept from about 3 PM to 7 PM, and I'm still tired.
My dream was super messed up, though. It was these two guys, and I guess one was a sadist, one was a masochist? Because the second guy consented to have the first guy literally slowly torture him to death, and he wanted to be as conscious as possible during it. It seemed like the "victim" was in a dentist chair or something similar. I don't remember too much, now, but I do know that the "victim" had all his teeth removed while he was fully conscious, and something with a buzz saw and cutting into his skull, under his ear.
Subconscious, I know I watch a lot of serial killer and Holocaust shows, but I still don't know exactly where you come up with this weird shit.
Thanks for the couple of replies to my last entry. I haven't replied to my friend yet, but I probably will tonight. Still feeling pretty sad about it.

Date: 2013-03-12 07:34 am (UTC)The consent to something so destructive (torture) in the context of something organized and held in esteem (medical profession prop) might represent that individual giving up a hard-fought struggle against an authority. The removal of something directly related to voice - teeth - reinforces the idea of accepting the reign of a despot or otherwise some other authoritarian rule. The location of a secondary wound in a place not viewable by the self without aid also reinforces the villainous nature of the authority. The fact that you are a viewer in this dream and not a participant suggests this represents something you have seen in your waking hours - saw anybody get oppressed recently but did nothing about it? This dream may be a type of guilt.
