pacificpikachuThank you to everyone who offered me condolences, on here or Tumblr or Facebook, about my birds. I'm still so sad every time I think about them, and I probably will be for a long time, but I'll be all right in the end. (Though, there are certain animals who I never entirely stop feeling heartbroken about, and I think these two might be among them.) It'll be awfully lonely without them at dad's house, though--I wonder if he will want more birds in the future? He loved them, so it's possible. All we have there now is a betta fish.
Anyway, my box arrived on Thursday and there was all kinds of cool stuff in it! I was particularly pleased by how many awesome flat things I got, to scan for PokéScans! Lots and lots of old, rare artwork, some great clearfiles and shitajiki, a ton of postcards, that kind of thing. Also a bunch of clear kids, and some other arbitrary figures. A big Mew plush I've been after for a while (and it's even bigger than expected!). Three awesome cels. Caterpie and Pikachu music box. An amazing Pokémon planetarium with some Johto Pokémon, which projects Pokémon on the wall and spins, and plays the Pokémon Center theme, or you can turn it on silently. Other things, too. I'll gradually have to take pictures of everything! Not really as much to sell as I expected, but there were quite a few things that I sorted into the keep box because I couldn't remember if I have them already or not, so the sales items will increase once I go check.
I've been watching Michiko to Hatchin, which I'm enjoying, but not like...in love with or anything. It's so stylish and I like the characters, but at least so far, to me the storytelling feels a bit haphazard and scattered. I've only finished twelve episodes, though, so it still has time to change my mind. That's not to say it's a bad series, I just wish it felt more cohesive.
