pacificpikachuOur handyman finally finished the custom cat-proof bird cages I had built for my cockatiels and lovebird. They are GIGANTIC and really nice, but they're also about three times more expensive than my mom or I planned for, ouch. At least my mom doesn't have to pay for them all up front, and I'll help her pay some of it.
Tosca has to learn not to scare the birds, because of course they don't know that they're safe yet. I think Tosca will learn with time, though, because she's smart. The birds seem a bit confused so far, but I'm sure they're going to have lots of fun once they realize how much space they have. Pictures later!
It's starting to slow down with work--starting. It's still been crazy and I've been working my butt off. Tomorrow is my first day off since Sac-Anime, which, of course, cons are tiring, and I worked non-stop before that, too. I feel like after the bulletin goes out, on Tuesday, things might slow down. At least, I'm crossing my fingers. Con aside, it's been quite a while since I had two days off in a row. @___@
I've caught one of the bugs going around, though I did manage to drag myself into work today so I'm not too bad. I hope I won't get any worse. I'm currently not too bad at all, but I can feel the sickness lurking beneath that if that makes any sense.
I'm getting one of my two boxes from Japan soon, hopefully tomorrow if I'm lucky! It's mostly just Eevee promo stuff and one cel, but there's also this great lot that I won for a steal. It includes the entire Halloween plush set with Umbreon and Espeon (bought for eventual resale, as I already have those guys), and then a ton of other stuff along with it, including Pokédolls, other plush, tins, tons of random things. I looove mystery lots! I'm excited to go through this one, and one that I won a while back with my other deputy service but haven't gotten my final invoice for yet. I'm hoping I'll get that box in the next few weeks, if not sooner. Both boxes will be like treasure hunting, though more the second one than the one that might come in tomorrow.
No progress on my laptop yet, I might go drag it to a local repair shop soon to see if they could change the type of laptop adapter. I'm just so done with this happening.
