During the holiday season my mom watches so many terrible movies on the Hallmark channel and Lifetime. It's kind of mortifying--even listening to them is embarrassing because they're so bad, hahaha. The overdone music, the terrible dialogue with equally terrible acting, cheesy plots, just...everything. I had a dream during my nap today that she was watching the same Hallmark movie three times and I was all frustrated because I had already seen bits and pieces of it when she watched it before.
My two big adolescent roosters, Captain and Benedict, who I saved from being someone's dinner earlier in the year, apparently got in a fight yesterday. I found them standing a few feet from each other, covered in mud and with bloody combs and wattles. (Combs and wattles are highly vascular and it takes barely anything at all for them to bleed, though.) The funny thing is, despite how much they obviously fought, they didn't do much damage to each other. Gah, they're like a pair of teenage boys, honestly! I took them inside and gave them baths because they were so disgustingly dirty that their feathers wouldn't have insulated at all and it's getting colder here. They liked the warm water and kept falling asleep in it, but you can't imagine how much dirt there was in their feathers! It was ridiculous! Even when there was an inch or two of water in the bathtub you still couldn't remotely see the bottom. Anyway, they're fine, but they're dorks. They're not fighting any more, they're like brothers.
Oh man, my Craigslist ads amazingly paid off--I had two people come out to buy Pokétoys on Sunday! I met some really nice people and made a good amount of money, so I'm happy! I even reposted the ad, so maybe I'll get more takers. Both people who came to buy toys will be coming back, too, sometime after Christmas, with the kids they were buying the toys for, so the kids themselves can pick out some stuff. :D
