Jul. 24th, 2012 01:26 amToday's weather was strange! I woke up to a brief thunderstorm, and then it was incredibly humid for most of the day. It felt way more like east coast or even Japan weather than California. I can't even remember the last time it was that humid here.
I like the thunderstorms, but the humid places can keep their humidity, thanks. I'll stick with the usual dry heat!
A bit ago I was walking into the kitchen and heard something thud against the ground. I thought it was a large bug or something, but instead I found a pacific treefrog! Pale green one. So cute. I took him outside. I attempted to take a picture of him on my hand, but he jumped too quickly. Strange thing to find in the kitchen. We get alligator lizards in the house sometimes, but frogs...? Good thing I love frogs.
I gave Augustus the turkey a hug earlier. He put up with it but kind of pressed against me like, "What is this? I'm too manly for this!" LOL.
I finally cataloged all of my fowl the other day! 80 chickens (well, 81 now because a chick hatched today, but I don't think it's going to make it because it has some issues), 12 ducks, 1 turkey, 1 peahen, and 1 goose. Some of the chickens still need names, so I'm going to post pictures of them soon in hopes that I can get some ideas!

Date: 2012-07-25 06:29 pm (UTC)I guess it is a good thing that I have experience with frogs?! There is a little girl, that lives in the complex who loves frogs and toads. Sadly, whenever she finds one, the girl carries them around and plays with them so much they end-up dead. I tried taking one away from her once, the girl cried and her Mom shot lasers out of her eyes at me...;_;
