Dec. 3rd, 2011 11:24 amWell, losing Oliver aside, everything was going fine and then two irritating things happened.
First off, Bank of America decided to kindly put a hold on my paycheck until Monday. Wow, BoA, I really appreciate it! Not. It's irritating because I've been working at my work for more than a year now, so they should know that the checks are fine. I tried to get the manager to change this, or even get them to release a little more of it to me before then, but no such luck. The usual excuse of, "We can't override the computer!" Yes, I do know about direct deposit, but seeing as I intend to switch banks at some point, anyway (once I figure out one that would fit what I'm looking for), I figure setting up direct deposit there would be a waste of time because I'd just have to set it up all over again.
Then...my computer's adapter pin snapped off again last night for no apparent reason. This is the fourth time, and I am SO frustrated! I e-mailed the company. Either they're paying for me to have it repaired locally, or I'm getting a new computer, or preferably both, because I am fed up. They said if it broke one more time I'd get a new computer. I do not want to send my computer in for repairs ever again, it's too much effort/trouble and too long without it.
Thankfully my battery still has about twenty minutes of battery left, but I don't think that'll be enough time to back up everything I've downloaded and changed since my last back-up.
I'll probably just go use my dad's computer until it's fixed or whatever, so I should still be able be to be online at least a few hours each day. Not as much as I usually am, though. Don't worry, I'm keeping track of anything I need to pay for!
It is aggravating that this one stupid part breaks, because otherwise I adore my computer. But it's seriously been away for repairs for this one part for about 30-40% of the time I've had it, since February.
To look on the bright side, lately I haven't been getting much done because I've had trouble tearing myself away from the computer, so now I guess I'll help mom clean up the house, do more things with the animals, work on traditional art, and so on... I just wish the computer breaking again wasn't the reason for that, though. T____T
