At work, we had Music in the Meadows yesterday. It was a big event where we had around 300 people come out to the sanctuary and meet the animals, and there were multiple bands/musicians of different genres, a silent auction, vendors, food, and more. It went extremely well, I was so pleased! What a fun day. The weather was perfect and the time went by so quickly. I was in charge of the poultry barn, answering questions, making sure no one bothered the birds, and coordinating the four other poultry barn volunteers. I only had to tell off three kids, who listened, and people asked great questions.

I'm more tired today than I expected, though! I was originally going to hang out with Makayla, but she was busy and I'm so tired that it's probably a good thing. I'm just relaxing today.

I lost two more doujin I wanted to win, WTF. They all waited to the very end to outbid me. I can never seem to win doujin I want, it's annoying! Hopefully eventually the competition will go away because I really want these doujin and I haven't won any of them yet! Oh well. Now just time to wait for more to pop up again.

Ran out of poultry food yesterday and then I was gone at the event until after the feed store was closed, and it's closed today. My birds will be fine, they're not going to starve or anything, but they make me feel soooo guilty about it because every time I walk outside the call ducks go crazy quacking, which sets off the guinea fowl and the chickens, too! Poultry act so frantic when they're hungry. XD Aaaah I'm sorry guys, I'll feed you a ton tomorrow and some treats to get you through today! ;;

Things are okay here, still need to list things on eBay once I feel more awake.

How did the birds react with the music going on? did they join in or even regard it at all?

glad most of the kids were well behaved. can't let a few rotten apples spoil the day for everyone!

And yeah, I ran out of cat food and the cats made me feel like they had nothing to eat for weeeeeeeks. MEOW MEOW MEOW WTF THE FOOD BOWL IS STILL EMPTY MEEEEOOOOWWW

None of them were rotten apples, actually, just wanted to pet the birds when we preferred they didn't. Some kids were chasing around poor Margaret the turkey because they wanted to pet her, but what they didn't realize is that she had her toes cut off as a baby (standard practice in turkey farms) so she has trouble walking.

Hahaha, that's exactly how the call ducks are! They see me and start going WACK WACK WACK WACK really loudly, except it's amusing because it sounds like they're laughing. They'll even sometimes do it when they were already fed and there's still food in there, they're just goofy like that.

HIII! Glad to hear from you again! :D

1. Absolutely! I'm around most of the time!
2. Of course! Yayy for writing!. I'd be happy to, especially because I've been getting more seriously re-involved with 'fic myself. Started reading more again and I'm thinking of writing for an audience again. (I've written like 40,000 words of fanfiction over the last year, but only for myself, as it involves too much head!canon for me to want to explain.)
3. Aside from Pixiv? Eesh, that's tough. I've done some Googling of Japanese pairing terms and whatnot to get websites, and I think there are a few other sites as well. I'll snoop around and see what I can find and let you know.

I'm doing well, actually! I go kinda back and forth between being excellent and awful, but lately I'm definitely more on the excellent side. Now that my pets stopped dying, anyway. I'll drop you an e-mail. Looking forward to talking!
