My collection is large enough that it's becoming a challenge to display it! T___T I was going to say "display it all," but as it is there's no way I can display literally all of my Pokémon stuff or even close to it. It stresses me out a bit, because logically I think "Maybe it's time to cut down a bit," but then I actually look at the items and realize there isn't much I want to sell. I have a ton of non-collection stuff to sell as it is, too.

I wish there was a feasible way to get more space! I don't think I can put in any more shelving in my room, and my hanging things for plush from Ikea are getting extremely full.

Ummm. I'm just thankful I don't actually live in this room most of the time (I live primarily at my mom's), because where would the plush on the bed go? The floor, that's the only place. XD

That said, I love my collection. Really, I do. Ultimately, there's nothing I'd prefer to spend money on. I just wish I had more space so it can all be seen! Someday, when I have my own place. (And yes, I fully intend to have my collection still someday when I have my own place--I really can't see this changing. Even if it means storing it at some point, though I hate the thought of doing that.)

I am collecting some Gen V stuff and I do still have some wanted items from previous generations, but this reminds me to think before adding too many more plush, because at some point I am going to have to seriously pack some of it away to fit it all.

Thankfully, the things I'm most excited about lately aside from the occasional smaller plush, are cels and rarely doujin, and those are easier to store because they're not 3D.

I want to do a video collection post, but that feels rather overwhelming to do as well.

I've had the same problem for a little over a year now.

I'm dealing with it by reminding myself "you'll get more space when you have your own place", and sometimes selling old plush if I buy a new one of the same Pokemon.

Yeahhh, it's annoying. I'm glad someone else is in the same position and not telling me to sell. I'll sell what I'm comfortable selling, but that's...not a lot. I'd rather put stuff in storage if I really had to than sell it, unless it's something that never really grabbed me. Whenever I weed, though, I tend to only weed things that no one wants anyway, ahaha...

Someday, we will have our own places!

I've decided that I really need to...pretty much sell back all the Pokemon stuff I bought XD I have no realistic way to display half the stuff I have now, let alone all these little bitty things - I think I'd rather just keep plush, cause at least those can have a dual purpose somewhere down the line.

Of course, I have to go about actually being NOT lazy and selling it, but...yeeeeeah

Also, let it be said that having your own place doesn't necessarily mean you'll have a ton more space :P Especially if you actually want it to function, haha

Aw, that's too bad! But hey, if you won't miss it, by all means! You'll still have the pictures of the collections to remind you and look back on, just take good ones. :) And yeah, I have a ton of sales boxes that I need to get rid of the stuff in, it's just taking up room at this point, but without my laptop currently and just being busy in general, that'll have to wait for now I suppose.

Hahaha, this is true! That said, I like to think that someday I'll have my own average-sized house, and that therefore I will be able to display my collections all around. I'm not having kids, so it would only be a matter of figuring out how to pet-proof things (sexy cabinets with doors and lights? Yes please!).

For me, collecting seems to be more of a lifestyle than a hobby. :D; I just cannot see myself ever getting out of it! I mean, people change and all, but for me I think it would have to be pretty drastic.

I hope your sales go well, whenever you get to doing them! :D

Well, I probably will miss it, because I still like looking at it and stuff.

The problem with me and collecting is I start losing control of myself, and I can't stay interested in something long enough to continuously collect it. For some people, they've been collecting, for example, Pokemon stuff since they were 10 years old and still do. That's cool.

I think my eyes are bigger than my stomach, in most cases. I love tons of stuff and I love buying and collecting and having stuff, but then I spend the money and I can hardly stand to look at it. I was into Transformers for a while and started to get so sick at how much I was spending on it, that I just up and gave almost all of them to a 3 year old boy. I guess stuff just doesn't keep my interest for long enough to make collecting entirely worth it.

There's only one collection that I've never felt guilty about spending money on and that's my CLAMP in 3-D Land figures XD; And I still love Rotom and I still love mah monkeys, but I think I may just need to...focus my collection or I'll end up with a bunch of stuff that I spend lots of money on and never look at cause I don't have the space.

Also, Detolf cabinets from Ikea seem to be one of the more popular pieces to display collections and the sort. It's a shame Ikea doesn't ship them (probably because of, yanno, the glass) cause I could reeeeeeally use one.

And thanks! I just need to get around to it, cause damn, I could use the cash, haha.
