Jul. 6th, 2011 10:08 pmOh, I forgot to post about it, but another highlight of Anime Expo was karaoke!
mei_san and I went with our roommates and sang karaoke late at night after the karaoke gong show (which was terrible and sometimes hilarious). We ended up staying until 4 AM because it was so engaging, ahahaha.
mei_san and I sang Linda Linda and had fun! All of our roommates who came along aside from one each sang, too.
Amusingly enough, Matsumoto Izumi, the author of the famous manga Kimagure Orange Road, came and sang karaoke, too! He sang several songs. I recorded video of him singing Zankoku no Tenshi no Thesis. He totally sang along with us when we sang Linda Linda, too. I thought it was awesome that he decided to enjoy the karaoke room with the rest of the fans. I actually do want to read or watch Kimagure Orange Road, I love classic anime and it's on my list. :D Anyway, the karaoke room was a lot of fun even though we did stay way longer than expected. It was worth it.
There was a delicious potluck at work today. I stuffed myself, hahaha, I was sooo full. It was worth it, though.
Starting to feel less con-lagged and perk up. Well, at night anyway--the heat is too oppressive to enjoy much of the rest of the day. I've taken to sleeping after work and then staying up late, and I may continue that because the chances of me doing anything remotely productive during a hot day are practically zilch.
