pkmncollectors, please just let them know my internet access is sporadic for now but I will pay them as soon as I can.
Need to work on getting the laptop fixed, I really do. It will be amazing having it back! We know exactly what's wrong with it, it's just a matter of either paying $150 to have it repaired here or sending it to the company to fix it.

kiraqueen, astrokittie, toggy, and moogleborg (and others) there, and the parade went great even with my incredibly hot/hard to see out of costume. I locked my keys in my car and that was stressful and upsetting for two hours, but after that I went and ate lots of delicious food, spent time with friends, made some new friends by having a passionate discussion about Macross Frontier in Kinokuniya, and so on.
I got my massively amazing package of around 4000 cards, a few hundred stickers, and books! It was a lot of fun to sort through. I officially have SO many Japanese promos, it's amazing! I need to get more card sleeves for my card binders to show off my collection. I also got TONS of cards to sell, including extras of many of the promos. Whoever I bought the cards from in Japan had quite the impressive promo collection. Once I have a working laptop and camera, I'll definitely be doing sales! Luckily my packaging speed is going up considerably.
I'm in love with any Japanese Pokémon books and manga with non-standard pose Pokémon art of any kind. I have a bunch of them and I really enjoy the original art and reading the books as best as I can. I can only understand maybe half of it, but hey, it's better than nothing! I have several of the one-shot Pokémon manga, a ton of 4coma books, some quiz books, and more. There is a huge pile of them in my room that I keep going through. At Kinokuniya, I found an awesome Pokédex with anime art of all the pre-B/W Pokémon with ALL of them in non-standard poses using art I have never see. :0 That was a great find! Also a D/P 4koma book and the HG/SS quiz book with incredibly cute art that someone onpkmncollectors posted about a while back. There were a few other books I would have loved to buy, but that was all I could afford (along with a $3 clearfile with Japanese-styled illustrations of silver spangled hamburg chickens).
My whole Pokémon team is now level 100! Now I feel sort of lost, haha. I'm working on my Pokédex (I'm at 340-something obtained so far), but I need Pokémon to train! I may transfer some team Pokémon from my other games to train to level 100 as well. :D
The family who was going to take Tippy decided not to, unfortunately. Oh well! The right family for her is out there, and this means she gets to spend a little more time with us.
Three hundred and fifty more chickens are coming in with work next Tuesday! And tomorrow I'm taking in a lonely duckling that came in through Wildlife Rehab and Release. It's likely a domestic breed, as it was found at a lake in Marysville where there are lots of domesticated ducks and geese.

Date: 2011-04-22 04:41 am (UTC)also that package DOES sound amazing, holy crap. i don't even know what these pokemon books look like, but i would love those books just by reading about them, haha! i remember when someone posted about the hg/ss quiz book. i wish they posted more stuff from it. it really did look cute.
and good job raising your pokemon to level 100! i got bored with my game after i beat it. thank god there's dream world.

Date: 2011-04-30 09:02 pm (UTC)Yeah, it was incredible to sort! *A* And the books are totally awesome! Once I have working technology again I will have to scan some of the best pages. Lots of hilariousness and weird, humorous comics, and it's extremely fun to see all of the Pokémon and trainers in a ton of different styles. Some of these official 4coma books have a bunch of artists doing each, so the variety is great.
Thanks! I'm actually raising a Heatmor named Salvador now and he's almost level 100, too. c: I don't get bored easily, so I fight all of the available trainers to fight every single day, LOL. Repetitive activities, Kristin likes them.
