I set my old laptop down gently today and there was a loud electric POP where the power cord connects, and then smoke. Needless to say, it is no longer powering up at all.

What is it with me and technology lately? This is driving me insane! I have not abused any of my electronics and yet now I have:

- Broken old laptop, probably blew the fuse and will not power up. I will likely get a cord so I can get the data off of its hard drive, and then leave it to Ryan and Dad to get it repaired if they want it.

- Broken new laptop, only had it for a month before it broke. The pin thing in the center of the place where the power cord connects broke off, have to get that repaired before I can use it. Otherwise it's perfect, but I can't even go on it thanks to this.

- Broken external hard drive, has tons of important data on it. Dad replaced the part that we think is causing the malfunction, but now when I turn it on the disk inside is not spinning. .____.

- Dad's digital camera that kept completely freezing while the lens was out. I gently pushed the lens in so it wouldn't get damaged, and now when I try to turn it on it tells me there's a lens issue and to turn the camera off. This isn't even taking into account the fact that I lost my other digital camera and currently can't afford a new one.

CURSE YOU, TECHNOLOGY! The only reliable piece of technology is my Nintendo DS. At least it has never betrayed me.

If I'm not online much (again) it's thanks to all these problems again. I just want everything in working order, pleeeease. ;_____; This is going to drive me completely up the wall!

>_< This sucks! I hope you get your laptop issues sort out soon. A computer with internet is like an extension of one's existence these days.

Argh that sucks. I hope you will have good luck with technology from now on. :(

And the DS is amazingly durable. Ours is really old and well-used but it still works great!
