pacificpikachuHappy Thanksgiving/normal Thursday if you're not in the US, everyone! I hope you all have a nice one! ♥
Thanksgiving is among my least favorite holidays because of the turkey aspect, but at least the sentiment behind it is nice, if not the way it is celebrated? Anyway, going down to Davis this evening to spend time with family and eat lots of delicious things. I should've visited the turkeys at the farm sanctuary while I had the chance, darn, but I thought mom wanted me home right after work. Oh well, I can visit them tomorrow! They're not going anywhere.
It's been such crazy weather this last week! First there was a big storm, then it got really cold. And it's still quite cold, with ice still in shady areas and in the morning everything is covered in frost. Thankfully I don't mind the cold. It's rather nice, really--much better than hot weather! If I stay outside with the chickens too long eventually I start feeling cold, but taking a hot shower fixes that easily enough.
Night of Writing Dangerously was so, so fun! So much writing, freebies, making friends, taking goofy pictures, eating so much sugar that the thought of more sugar was repulsive, and more. I really enjoyed it a lot, and plan to go next year as well if at all possible. Also, Frances and I had a hotel room in Chinatown, so that was fun, too! We spent a few hours shopping there. I bought some cute chicken-related items. :D
Now that NaNo is over for me, having reached 50k, I plan on doing a lot of drawings the next two months! I was commissioned to do five different drawings by one person so that'll be a good motivator, I finished an art trade last night, and I have plans to do a bunch of other drawings as well.

Yay for motivation! ^_^ I sure could use some.
