I already posted about this on Facebook, but I found out yesterday that I got the job at Animal Place! :D I am so happy and excited, this is going to be the BEST JOB EVER. Getting paid to save chickens and work at a farm animal sanctuary? Sign me up! Anyway, this is seriously amazing news. There couldn't be a job more uniquely suited to me, and I'll be surrounded by others who are pro-animal rights and believe in trying to save as many lives as possible. I feel like this is why I was unable to find a veterinary assistant job, because I was meant to fill this position at the sanctuary. I start next Tuesday! I'll be working in the morning/early afternoon Tuesday through Friday, which should work out perfectly! Just three to four hours a day, so I'll still have time to do plenty of other things as well. Some extra money for conventions, chickens, and, of course, Pokémon merchandise. Honestly, more than anything I'm just excited to do what I'm going to do there, though.

Also, hit 25,000 last night in my novel! I do a minimum of 2,000 words a day, and last night I was at 21,500 so I just went, "To hell with it, I'm going for 25,000 tonight." So I did. :D

My sales post is going well, too! The auctions I'm watching end tonight, I'm hoping for the best! The only thing is that the auction I was most excited about ended earlier than the rest of them and I didn't know that, so it ended at starting bid. :( Bawww, I missed out on it, and I was totally willing to go way higher on it! Oh well. Life goes on. Still have five auctions to be excited about, and then a sixth in two days.

This weekend is the corgi faire in Dixon, yayyy! \o/ I will take a gazillion pictures. Anybody in northern California want to come watch a bunch of fluffy-butt short-legged dogs in costumes and just being their adorable selves? It's free to get in. My two corgis will be coming along, of course.

Thank you! Yes, it is going to be amazing! My parents have harped on me for a long time about getting a job, but I'm always too busy volunteering with animal charities. Now I get to do both at the same time!

I wish you could come along! VA is a far way away, too bad!

Well, it all depends on where in VA I am and where in NC the location is! I am in the middle of VA, but closer to the coast! I have a friend, Brenda who commutes between her house here in Gloucester and her place in the OBX! I told her she just needs to sell her home here, she is so much happier when she is at the beach!! XD
