pacificpikachuWhy did I not know Maaya Sakamoto voices Mari from Evangelion? :O SERIOUSLY, HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS? I am amazed and happy to find this out, and I am so surprised that I never heard it from anywhere and also did not recognize her voice! Fff even more reasons to think both Maaya and Mari are awesome! ♥ I'm so impressed at how diverse her character range has gotten--she used to be kind of typecast, I think, for certain types of roles, and now she's playing little boys and somewhat gender ambiguous characters and Eva pilots! 8D So much love for Maaya. Not only my favorite singer but also my favorite female seiyuu (with Paku Romi next)~
I fell asleep at 7 PM or so today and woke up at 9 PM feeling all disoriented. You know that feeling where you wake up and you barely realized you were asleep, and it's suddenly dark outside? Yeah, that. Confusing! I fell asleep watching shows about serial killers as per usual. Thank you, Investigation Discovery, for ensuring that I watch almost nothing else on TV. @___@ I still feel rather confused even though I've been up for several hours now. Planning on going back to sleep, though, after this entry and some PMD.
The intake center has slowed down quite a bit because the season is winding down. This is a good thing, Linda is stressed out and needs a vacation, and we have almost no active rehabbers right now. There seems to be friction going on behind the scenes in the group, but I think everyone is leaving me out of it and only hinting about what's going on. It's just as well, I don't like it when things get contentious in the group. We're all there for the same important purpose, getting gossipy and backstabby is not helping the animals or us. Rehabbing is difficult and complicated enough as it is, scientifically, morally, emotionally, and environmentally.
Anyway, the last two days my shift has been pretty unremarkable, except that both shifts ended with robins coming in at the last minute and dying almost immediately upon arrival. The robins seem to be having a rough season, we have at least three of them with parasites right now and all of them we get in seem to be infested. D:
There's not much to report right now in my life...things are fairly uninteresting and mostly concern me trying to muster the energy to do simple tasks and trying not to fall asleep during the day. And financial stuff still sucks, ugh.
Going to the county fair with my mom and Makayla tomorrow! That ought to be fun at least. :D I'm most excited about seeing the chickens there and eating delicious fair food.
