Apparently one of Charming's chicks drowned in the water, and even worse one of the older chicks escaped and got killed by something. :( (As a note, the small chickens escape no matter what I do, whether I'm home or not. I still can't figure out where/how they're escaping, so this is no one's fault, it's just sad.) Also, Honey is sick and had diarrhea all over the house.

Ugh, this is why I hate leaving my animals. But at the same time, I love to travel and go on trips, so sometimes it's inevitable. I'm just so sad that I lost two of my birds and that poor Honey is sick.

Well, nothing I can do about it now... I guess I'll just deal with it when I get home.

hmm... that's sad about the little chick, though when I came over there today the water bowls had been changed from what was in there yesterday ( which I didn't really touch cause it looked like they were clean and fresh) and the dead chick was still in the cage in one of the water bowls. I got him out of there and wrapped him in a paper towel and put him where you told me to put the dead bodies.
I'm so sorry this happened, but the other 4 chicks look great.

It's not your fault, that sort of thing tends to happen with little tiny chicks from time-to-time. :( Thanks for disposing of it.

I just wanted to let you know that, though there was a death, there was also a birth. When I walked in today to take care of the chicks, there was another one in the incubator. It is now happily safe with it's momma hen. I think there is only one more unhatched egg in the incubator.
