May. 11th, 2010 01:26 pmOne final down (Social Psychology--it was ridiculously easy) and two to go! Neither of which should be difficult at all.
I've been watching anime like crazy the last few days! Lots of fun.
I watched all of Higashi no Eden and the first movie (come on second movie, you need to come out!). It was quite enjoyable and likeable. For some reason it was a little more lighthearted than I expected it to be, but I'm certainly not complaining! LOL at all the naked NEETs, ahaha. Looking forward to seeing how it all ends--it's got such a complex and not-so-easy-to-solve plot, so I'm hoping it'll have a great ending that it's all been building up to! It's a fun and well-done intrigue and mystery story with a wonderful base for a plot. Lots of twists and turns. :D
I'm also fully caught up with Durarara! so far, on episode sixteen. I didn't care for it at first, it seemed too chaotic and bizarre and maybe a little pointless, but somewhere around episode seven (when the different threads started connecting and the characters began developing more) I started really enjoying it. In particular, episode eleven was awesome, but there have been quite a few very good episodes and moments. I'm amazed at how it manages to take some rather bizarre ideas (a character without a head? Seriously?) and make them intriguing, compelling, and actually somewhat emotional. It's an oddball series for sure, but it has great characters and is surprisingly well done--especially considering how chaotic it all seemed at first.
The other thing I watched was the twelfth Pokémon movie. I liked it a lot better than I expected to! The animation was so pretty and the plot was better/somewhat more serious than many of the other movies. To be fair, I don't have as high of expectations from Pokémon movies as other anime--after all, it is Pokémon--but regardless I got a lot of enjoyment out of it and look forward to watching it again sometime soon. :D I loved Arceus turning to Satoshi in the end and telling him his world is a beautiful world. Gizamimi Pichu was adorable, and the Pokémon wandering around and causing chaos was fun, haha. I had a splendid time watching it. *___*
These are the least critically-minded reviews ever, but I've been in a great mood lately and, hell, I enjoyed them all!
I have Toradora, K-on, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, and...um...I don't remember what else downloading right now. Anyone have any suggestions of other series I really should watch? Especially things that came out in the last two years or so?
Pen-Pen seems to be getting bigger every time I look at him! He comes out with me sometimes when I take the dogs out now and follows right at my heels. He sometimes even plays with the dogs a little! He's an awesome pet. All the chicks are doing well, too! I still haven't managed to figure out how to fix the crippled chick so it can walk, but I'm working on it. Surprisingly, the weakest chick, who sneezes all the time and is really tiny (about half the size/weight of the others), is still hanging in there, so I'm thinking it just might pull through. I might ask on BYC if there's any specific medication I should give it to improve its chances.

Date: 2010-05-11 09:20 pm (UTC)A good recommendation I have is Rainbow, it's currently airing and only has about five episodes so far. It's about seven guys in prison, I posted the OP in an entry a couple of days ago. Check it out! :3 ♥
