So, um, I unexpectedly ended up with a wild turkey today. He's a huge, handsome tom who has something wrong with one of his legs or feet from getting in a fight with another tom. I currently have him in a little flimsy chicken pen, but it'll do for now. He's really strong and does not like me one bit (as he shouldn't). I may see if I can take him to Dr. Lund tomorrow to get him checked out for fractures and get him splinted if necessary. For now, I'm leaving him alone and letting him de-stress. I don't know what I'll ultimately do with him, but we'll see! Ought to be an interesting bird to rehab. I think he has a good chance of making a full recovery with time. :D Other than his leg or foot or whatever it is preventing him from walking (I haven't gotten a chance to examine him up close yet), he seems very healthy.

... Hmm, I don't think Bruce works tomorrow. He works at MLVH again on Tues. though. Hopefully he can get in to see him!

Ah, yeah, you're right! I'm having one of my fellow rehabbers check him out tomorrow, so I'll figure out then if he should be seen by Dr. Lund on Tuesday~
