Mar. 17th, 2010 11:43 pmNot all of these are spectacular, but with the nice weather and my birds out enjoying it today, I just had to take some pictures! :D Finally got some good pictures of the call ducks, too, though I still want to take some size reference pictures and a video of them playing in the water.

Yes, duck hens are typically a little bigger than drakes.

My new Japanese bantam chick, Poppy. :D The Salula adopted her, which is the cutest thing ever and needs to be photographed.
This is the new serama/call duck coop, which is working fantastically so far:

The big ducks walking in a line:

Aaand into the tall grass!

Timber taking a dust bath:

Cornelius checking out the action:

Joined by Domino and Aka:

Two of the mille fleur d'uccles in the weeds:

Prince and Charming:

Splash, actually without her youngsters in tow for once:

Splash (and Charming in the background), with her two chicks:

I think one of the chicks, the darker one, is a rooster (a VERY pretty one!) and the other is probably a hen. :) I'll take better pictures of them when I get a chance. They never stop moving, though!
I can never get a good picture of Porcia:

Solitaire (not a good picture of her, either):

Whisper, Porcia, and Venice hanging out on the fence:

Ilikeayou running! She's eleven years old and going strong.

Also, have a super-cute picture of Hooch:

Hope you enjoy the pictures!
