pacificpikachuNo updates on the turkey vulture yet (I'll call tomorrow and see if he made it!), but I'll definitely let everyone know once I get any information.
I was surfing Craigslist yesterday evening and came across a three-month-old spangled Old English Game Bantam rooster only a half-hour away. Ahhh, my second favorite breed in a color I've been wanting! I couldn't resist calling. I pick him up Wednesday, and I'll post pictures when he arrives. I feel a little foolish getting a second rooster, but hey--I don't even have a rooster in with my general flock right now, and his bloodlines will hopefully create some pretty chicks. Chickens are such an addictive and interesting hobby. :P People who don't have any/much familiarity with the chicken-keeping world would be surprised at how deep and detailed and interesting it is! So many amazing and beautiful breeds, so many things to do with chickens~ Ah, I love having poultry as a hobby!

scorpio_alice came over today and I got her started on Princess Tutu! Thirteen episodes in so far, and she's already really enjoying it. It only gets better from here. :D I'm enjoying it a ton the second time through. We'll probably finish it tomorrow, if all goes as planned.
Got some wonderful Umbreon items in the mail today! I would love to do a collection post, but a) as usual there are things in the mail, and b) rearranging my room again soon because I got a new bookshelf.
Not much else going on, other than playing Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky! I'm a female Eevee named Larka, and my partner is a female Vulpix named Tani. I'm trying to decide who my other team members are going to be~!

Date: 2009-12-29 08:04 pm (UTC)There are actually chickens that can be kept indoors easily, though. ;) Seramas, which are the smallest breed of chicken, do very well in rabbit cages as they were bred to be pets. Unfortunately they're fairly rare/expensive (I paid $30 for each of mine, and that's a bargain), but they really enjoy being kept indoors and do wonderfully in small amounts of space. :D
