I'm feeling all weird and conflicted and eghhh again. :/
Anyway, yesterday was uber-fun.
I ditched the last twenty minutes of English to go to a choir concert. :O And I even told Mrs. Mclean I was going to do my Japanese final... My karma is suffering. T_T No, seriously--I got all freaked out and paranoid after I left, and the uneasiness only faded when we actually left the campus.
So, while the concert was going on, for some reason Cody told me I should probably just stay in the car, which was for the best anyway because I had to finish Heart of Darkness. As much as I didn't enjoy reading much of the book (merely because it was so darn dense), I really loved the last fifteen pages or so. Very...I don't know... I really, really liked the ending, though. Very bittersweet and insane and wonderful. Apparently, some guy in the audience of the concert fainted during one of the choir's songs. O_o; When I finished Heart of Darkness and Cody and the rest of the choir still weren't back, I watched woodpeckers and philosophized, and listened to the CDs in Cody's car.
After that whole thing, Cody had to go back to the school and practice with his quartet, so meanwhile I had a weird, emphatic conversation with Jasmine, and then read Anbus with Kirstin. Apparently, I got Kirstin obsessed with Anbus, too. >D Made me happy. We did that for about twenty minutes, discussed the upcoming Narnia party, and then Cody finished and retrieved me.
Then Cody and I went Christmas shopping--which probably sounds a lot more...um...spirited that it actually was. XD We just went to Ben Franklin, Record Connection, Longs, and Odyssey Books, and I just followed on his heels and we were both very quiet. I was feeling really peaceful most of the day, and he was being quieter than he normally is, so it made for a very relaxed little shopping trip. He got most of his Christmas shopping done, too, so it was all quite successful.
We went back to his house after the Christmas shopping finished. He was on the computer doing laptop research most of the time on his computer (well, and showing me this nifty online RPG he's playing), while I attempted to draw unicorns and Boots and then ended up playing with her. XD She was being so funny--she kept being really affectionate, and then biting me, and then meowing loudly. I think she was hungry. She also started playing with my pencil.
After a few hours, we headed off for Lyon's! We got there, and only Ryan (not my brother Ryan, mind you) was there, but once we waited for a little Kirstin and Johnna showed up. They informed us that we should get advance tickets for Narnia, so we left Lyon's for a little while and zipped off to Sierra Cinemas, where we bought our tickets. When we returned to Lyon's, there were several more people, and as time went on, we eventually ended up with about eight or nine people.
Dinner was really funny. XD Jenny kept polling us about who loved her and who didn't, and then was spreading propaganda to get us to buy the dirt and worms sundae (none of us had the money for it, though). Chris was debating whether he was more in love with Selah or Greed. I'm pretty sure he ended up decided he loves Greed more. XD;; Kirstin was playing a weird game with silverware and getting mad at us when we didn't get it. I don't remember everything, but it was funny and awesome. I had some french toast and scrambled eggs for dinner. ^^
By the time our orders came, it was almost time to leave for Narnia so we could get some good seats, so we ate fast, and then figured out the car configurations. I got shotgun, as I always should. XD;; Chris shot people with Cody's fake gun the entire ride.
When we got to Sierra Cinemas, there was already a pretty big line for Narnia seating. In the line, we found (dun dun DUN!) Makayla and Fufu! Yay! So we all stood in line and chattered and were crowded until they let us in to the theater. We found a section where our whole big group could sit, and while we were doing that, we found Erik. So, another member of our group.
Narnia was great, by the way. ^_^ I especially adored the background music and some of the earlier scenes, although all of it was pretty darn fun. I have to admit, though, that Lucy was pretty much the only one of the four siblings I really cared about. >.> Mr. Tumnus was awesome, I loved Aslan, and all the talking animals were fun, though (even if the animation on some of them was a tad bit off). Anyway, it was great. I hope to see it again (along with Goblet of Fire, for a second time) before its theater run ends.
Cody gave me a ride home, and it was well past midnight when I got home. I basically just went straight to bed, although (as per usual, it seems nowadays) I had a lot on my mind and had some trouble falling asleep even though I was exhausted.
My emotional discontent continued into the next morning, where I stayed in bed for quite a while past when I slept--partly because it was warm, and partly because I was milling over a bunch of things in my head and was a little messed-up. :/ I did eventually wake up, though, and made myself feel better by cleaning the guinea pig cage.
My chicken Lace was being so cute while I was doing this. ^^;; She came and found me and kept sitting in the trays I was trying to clean, and then she went into the guinea pig cage itself for a while and stood in it for no apparent reason. Luckily, the guinea pigs were in another box, so no harm done. XD Anyway, it was so cute and touching that she came and willingly spent time with me while I was cleaning the cage. A big cheer-up. I think she's easily my tamest chicken.
I then played with the five guinea pigs on the outside couch for a while, which was really fun. The babies are so cute, and all five of our guinea pigs are remarkably tame. :D I luffs them.
Once I put the guinea pigs away, I went in the house and somehow ended up watching a samurai movie from 1956. It was actually pretty cool, though--and I was proud of myself for understanding so much of what they were saying. I think I would've been fairly okay for much of the movie even if there hadn't been subtitles. :D It was really fun. I only watched about a half-hour of it, though.
Basically, the rest of the day wasn't that great. Mom brought us down to Auburn because she had house-related things to do, and it ended up taking HOURS of boringness, and I was feeling anti-social and there was nothing to do so I just ate almonds the whole time.
Ryan and Mom both ended up mad at me for various reasons, and I still felt anti-social, and...eh. Whatever. Not in the best mood today. -_-; Ehhhhh.
I should be writing my fanfic (I *really* should) but it's cold in my room and I don't really feel like it. Aughh, I only have four days left! :O I have to keep working!
I'm at my Mom's, by the way, so my answers are quite different from what they'd be at my Dad's. ^^;
