I caved and got a Twitter account. I doubt I'll use it a whole lot, but it's more for following people who I don't get to hear from much on LJ or other places. I'm PacificPikachu as always--please add me if you'd like! I promise not to totally spam you with updates probably. We'll see how long it takes me to get bored of Twitter, as I tend to drop sites I become obsessed with once they lose their novelty to me, haha. LJ has been the most everlasting of the sites I visit, and I don't think that will change any time soon, if at all.

Hmmm, not much to say. A lazy day. Did abstract photomanipulations of Honey in my Photoshop class today, and they turned out looking...slightly drug-induced! 8D LOL. My class is going to be so tired of seeing pictures of my dog by the time the semester ends, as every project thusfar has involved her as a primary subject.

More Umbreon merch announced! A little nervous about getting it, as it's a chupa-chups figure and those can be a bit hard to get. I still haven't been able to get my hands on the chou get. ;; Hopefully soon! As I've said before, I get immensely frustrated being an Umbreon collector at times because it can be so financially difficult and because I'm so competitive that every time an item shows up that I don't have I get stressed about it, but for some reason (probably just my love of Umbreon), I simply cannot stop myself. ;0; Have lots of other Pokémon things I need to figure out how to afford, too. I need to just get things together and have a sales post so I can pay for things!

Why did you join the dark side?! Twitter is evil and awful and banal and oh dammit I dunno if I'll ever just make myself stop using it and learn to compose thoughts more coherently :(

It's very very easy to get bored of when using only the clunky web interface, but when one uses the clients it's very easy to get sick of it too. Like a third of the people I 'follow' are dead anyway so who cares, it's all just a bit of fun anyway 8D

First, go join pkmncollectors. Maybe go check out some of the collection posts and sales posts to get an idea of how the community works, make an introduction post, and decide what you'd like to collect! Once you've decided, it's just a matter of beginning to find the items you'd like and buying them--whether through sales by community members, on Ebay, on Yahoo Japan, online stores, wherever you can find stuff. It's incredibly addictive and fun. Just be sure not to overspend, take it slow at first, and if you can help it try not to get competitive because it spoils the fun. I hope you do decide to join us! It's an absolutely wonderful community.

I joined the dark side because one of my buddies who repeatedly deletes the LiveJournals she creates talked me into it, and I want to keep up with you as well!

Oh, just a "Hi, I'm new here, I was introduced to this community by pacificpikachu", your background of how you got into Pokémon/why you like it/how long you've been into it, and what you intend to collect/what you'd like to find, and why you want to start collecting. Just that type of thing. People in the community are pretty inviting, and will be happy to extend a welcome to you. :) And being on the community, you'll be amazed at how fast your collection grows, and how easy it is to make friends!
