Sep. 22nd, 2009 11:32 pmTemporary solution for guinea pig dilemma: Partition in the cage! I am thankful that the cage is large enough that this solution is feasible. Daniell came over yesterday to meet Mr. Adorable Now Nameless Guinea Pig and quite liked him, so he is most likely going to live with her sometime later this week! I will miss him because he's so cute, but I think Daniell will give him the perfect home with lots of attention, and quieter home, and plenty of love. I found a really beautiful female guinea pig I might adopt on Craigslist in Davis, so mom and I might head down to Davis on Sunday to pick her up as well as visit my grandma. I'm thinking I can get the new guinea pig and her cage, and then give Daniell the current cage with her pig. IDK, we'll see how things work out.
Also, just got an e-mail from Janey saying there are a bunch of exotic chickens and pigeons needing rescue (the farm owner cannot care for his flock any more due to illness), so I might go over there tomorrow and see if there are any bantams. orz, mom keeps saying my flock is too big (even though I disagree), b-but I don't think I can resist some pretty/fancy/exotic bantams. .___.; We'll see how it goes. I miiight come home with some new birds tomorrow.I KNOW, I AM CRAZY.
Now instead of writing about things or doing anything productive at all, I am reading the personal ads on Craigslist for amusement, although it makes me facepalm to amazing extents.
I keep wanting to write a big epic post on why I love Pokémon so much, but then by the time I get to it it's always too late and I'm sleepy.

Date: 2009-09-23 07:38 pm (UTC)Bantams are wonderful! ♥ I think the absolute limit for my flock would be if I got seven more bantams, but for this I'll probably limit myself to getting four or five at the most just because I don't want my coop to be crowded. I've currently got around twenty chickens, three ducks, and three guinea fowl.

Date: 2009-09-23 07:43 pm (UTC)Fancy chickens are the best! I'm a complete and total chicken/poultry geek, ahaha, I just love them so much! They're so pretty and fun to have, and I love to see the effect of looking at my whole diverse flock. I wish you could visit! I would be happy to introduce you to every single bird.
