pacificpikachuAwww, poor Cochin Bobochin! I think Cornelius, our male guinea fowl, attacked her and now she has a big, painful bald spot on her back. :( If he does this again, he's outta the coop for the rest of breeding season. Her back was all red and swollen and bleeding a bit yesterday, but it's looking a bit better today. I did some thorough disinfecting of it last night and she was in bad spirits, but she's perking up now. She's in a little "hospital ward" (AKA storage tub with towels, food, and water in it) in my room recovering. Yami had something similar happen to him but with a leg injury on top of it, so I suspect she'll heal without a problem in the next few days. It seems half the injury is their psychological state afterward--they hide out and get all withdrawn, so giving them a few days somewhere warm, peaceful, clean, and with food and water to recover gets them back to their old selves pretty quickly.

I am currently torn between playing Mystery Dungeon (I suspect I'm going to go have to do some leveling up before I face Primal Dialga .___.), watching Mysterious Ways, and writing a post about Pokémon fanfiction ideas (my geekiness compels me!), so I think I'll go do a little of each.
I can't believe it's almost Friday! I'm really eager to go meet the dogs on Saturday, ahhh. I hope one of them works out! If not, I've got some others I'm interested in, but regardless I just...really want to rescue a dog soon. ;0; I've been doting on Hana in the meantime--constantly cuddling with her, taking her places in the car, taking her on walks, and talking to her and petting her all the time. It's a wonder I haven't driven her completely insane, hahaha.
